Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 173 calls this week:

July 22:
Graffiti: Officers took a report of graffiti on a divider wall behind a residence.
Theft: Responded to W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a report of theft; all available information was obtained and a report taken.
July 23:
DUI: Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon doing a traffic stop, the driver was taken into custody for DUI.
Trespassing: Officer was called to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a trespass violator. Upon arrival the individual was found to have two warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court and was taken into custody.
Lost property: Officers took a report of lost property.
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers responded to a citizen’s residence, on Goshawk Crossing, who had found their front door was kicked in when they returned from a walk. No entry was made and the investigation is ongoing.
Found property: An officer located keys in a parking lot. The keys were put into evidence as found property.
July 24:
Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a domestic dispute. One adult male was arrested for two counts of domestic battery.
July 25:
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a local resident to take a report of an accident that had occurred the day prior.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer completed a report of a traffic accident with no injuries.
Threatening: Officers responded to a Bannock St. residence reference a threat call. Contact was made with both parties involved and they were both told to avoid contact with each other.
July 26:
Theft: Officer responded to a report of a theft from a Falcon Ridge Pkwy residence. Property Management Company reported a theft of property from a vacant residence. Investigation is ongoing.
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business in reference to a call of property damage to a vehicle.
Fraud: Officers responded to a Conestoga Camp Pt. residence in reference to fraudulent charges on a debit card.
Intoxicated person: Officers contacted a male subject who was laying in the roadway. The male, who was combative, was arrested for being an intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway.
July 27:
Trespassing: Officers responded to a business for a report of a trespass violator. One female adult was cited and released for trespassing.
Trespassing: Officers contacted a female at a W. Mesquite Blvd. business where she had previously been cited for trespassing. After receiving confirmation of the previous incident, officers arrested the female for trespassing.
Fighting: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a fight in progress. After investigation one male subject was taken into custody for domestic violence.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation. Upon running a standard records check it was determined the driver was a fugitive out of the state of Indiana for multiple felony warrants. The driver was taken into custody and transported to CCDC to await extradition to Indiana.
Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to a Kalanchoe Way residence for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a violation. The female driver had an outstanding warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court. She was arrested without incident.
July 28:
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. reference a trespassing call. One adult male was issued a citation for trespassing and released.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence reference a domestic dispute. One adult female was arrested for domestic battery.
Civil matter: Officer completed a lost property report.
Wanted person: Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence reference a report of a male with multiple warrants out of the Municipal Court of Mesquite. The male was located and taken into custody without incident.
Lost property: A report was taken for a lost cell phone. There was limited information about the phone and the area it was lost in.
Battery on person: An officer responded to a Moss Dr. residence on a report of battery. Officers determined a battery occurred between two females that did not sustain injuries. One female adult was issued a citation for battery and released.
Controlled substance problem: Officers contacted two subjects in an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. Both subjects were found in possession of illegal narcotics. One male was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one female was arrested for possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine and heroin).
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespassing call. One adult male and one adult female were arrested on trespassing charges.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. hotel for a fight in progress. It was determined the fight was domestic related between a husband and wife. One male adult was arrested for domestic battery first offense.
