Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 58 calls this week:

July 22:

Breathing:  Rescue 32 and rescue 31 were dispatched out for a person having a breathing problem. Patient was transported to our area hospital.

July 23:

Chest Pain:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 Responded to reported chest pain. 1 Patient transported to the local hospital.

Abdominal Pain: Rescue 11 responded to a person with abdominal pain. Transported 1 to a St.
George area hospital.

July 24:

Stroke (CVA):  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to a possible stroke patient. Rescue 11
transported to the local hospital with the crew of Rescue 31 on board.

Fire: Chief 2, Truck 11, Engine 31 and Rescue 31 responded to reports of an oven fire. Fire was contained to oven with no extension to the structure.

July 25:

Diabetic:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to reports of a diabetic emergency. Rescue 11
transported one patient to a local hospital.

July 26:

Heat/Cold:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 11 responded for a reported person acting confused and possibly having a heat emergency. Patient transported to local hospital with altered mental status.

July 27:

Psychiatric: Rescue 11 and rescue 31 were dispatched out for a patient needing to be taken from our local extended care facility to our local hospital.

July 28:

Assault/Sexual assault: Rescue 31 and rescue 32 called for an altercation. Both parties involved refused medical care. Rescue 31 and rescue 32 available.
