Eureka Casino Resort is proud to continue the tradition of “Rockets Over the Red Mesa” on Wednesday, July 4th. The Nevada POPS Orchestra will return for the 8th year with the full 32-piece orchestra accompanied by country singer Clint Holmes, performing songs saluting American heroes.
This free event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a community vendor village and DJ. The celebration continues with a 75-minute live performance from the Nevada POPS Orchestra at 8:00 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:00 p.m. The orchestra will accompany the fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day in true American style. This is a family-friendly event and everyone is invited to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs to the viewing area, which will be set up behind the resort.
Have you ever wanted to get into social media but don’t know the first thing about it? The Clark County Library, Mesquite Campus is hosting a Facebook Basics Class on Friday. Yes, you too can become the master of your social media life; all you have to do is show up. The classes are free to the public. You can also check out all the amazing new stuff at the library.
On Saturday they’ve got the comedian, Randy Riggle, coming to make you all bust those guts over “Nostalgia.” His brilliant clean style of humor has been featured in some of the top comedy clubs in the country. He’s opened for comedians like Weird Al Yanovic, Jerry Lewis and Ellen Degenerous and written for comedians such as Jay Leno and Joan Rivers. Riggle has performed in over the world and is a definite threat to your funny bone.
