This makes me so sad. She spent years helping so many in this town. Helped feed them when they had nothing. Helped so many families receive financial aid so they could get by on their meager minimum wage jobs. Cared for our elderly when no one else would. Too bad we can’t find a way to reach her now when it’s she who has hit rock bottom. Don’t give up Roberta, you will find the strength to break this killer addiction. I know you will.
Those are exactly the words people need to hear. Thank you Steve. Addiction has the potential to hit any of us. I agree, don’t give up. Nothing is hopeless and you CAN overcome this. She did so much for people, I remember…when I was a property manager at Desert Shade, she was always there helping the families that needed it. A true loving soul, I’m so sorry she’s fighting with this and losing at this point. She doesn’t deserve it.
