Will Rhoden

Local Mesquite musician, Will Rhoden’s newly composed musical composition which was especially written for the Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra will be premiered during the orchestra’s Saturday, April 14, 7:30 P.M. concert at the CasaBlanca Resort Showroom.

Will Rhoden composed the programmatic composition called “John” (John the Baptist) on the Biblical story as recorded in Chapter 3 of Luke.

The 70 piece Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra and its conductor, Dr. Selmer Spitzer, are honored to be able to perform and premier this special composition called “John.”

 

         

Mark Deramo

Mark Deramo, a professional violinist who lives in Las Vegas, will be featured by the Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven’s “1st Violin Concerto in D Major,” a musical composition universally acclaimed as a concerto of all times.  The concerto written in 1806 still wows audiences with its sheer display of beauty, musicality and grandeur.

Mark, an enthusiastic and devoted musician, has been playing the violin since the age of five and his musical endeavors led him to settle in Las Vegas, NV, in 2014.  Mark currently teaches music and orchestra at Swainston Middle School in North Las Vegas.  Mr. Deramo is a proud member of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra and the American Band (the Sparrows).

The Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra is honored to be able to feature Mark Deramo as soloist performing Beethoven’s “Violin Concerto in D Major,” a concerto which is considered to be one of the most influential and colossal concertos ever written.
