Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 218 total incidents in the blotter:

April 1:

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. motel on a report of a Domestic Disturbance. One adult female was taken into custody.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. parking lot for an unconscious adult male. One male was transported to Mesa View hospital and one male was arrested for drug paraphernalia.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver for drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

Phone harassment: An officer responded to a complaint of telephone harassment.

Stolen vehicle: Responded to a S. Hafen Ln. residence for a stolen vehicle, a report was taken.

Domestic trouble: Officer responded to a residence on a report of a verbal domestic. An information report was completed.

April 2:

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for trespassing. One adult male was arrested for warrant, trespassing and breach of peace.

Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to a Verllonia St. residence on a report of a stolen vehicle.

Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to a business on a report of a stolen vehicle.

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. One adult male was arrested for multiple moving violations.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident with no injuries. One adult male was cited for traffic offense.

Theft: Officers responded to a report of petit larceny. Officers recovered the money and one adult female was cited and released.

April 3:

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. One male adult was taken into custody.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Report taken on a two car collision, no injury.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a Chapparel Dr. residence reference a domestic situation. An information report was completed.

Hit & Run: Officer took a report of a hit and run in the parking lot of an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino.

Intoxicated person: Officers responded to a business reference a suspicious person. One adult male was arrested for intoxication in the roadway.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business on a report of theft. Two Adult males were issued citations with a court date.

Traffic problem: Vehicle disabled in the left turn lane. Stood by to protect the scene until AAA tow truck arrived and removed the vehicle; nothing further.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with negative injuries. Driver information was exchanged and one driver was cited. Both vehicles drove away from the scene.

DUI: An officer was flagged down by citizen about a male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. After making contact with the driver, he was arrested for DUI-Drugs.

Welfare check: Officers responded to a welfare check of one female adult. Family was contacted and responded.

April 4:

Suspicious vehicle: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. One male subject was taken into custody for an active warrant.

Recovered stolen vehicle: Detectives processed a recovered stolen vehicle for possible evidence.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested a male who had a felony warrant out of Mesquite Justice

Court.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a parking lot reference a suspicious vehicle. A K9 indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics. Upon search of the vehicle officers found drug paraphernalia. The three occupants were arrested and booked at Mesquite Detention Center.

Traffic stop: Detectives arrested a male who had two warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Dead body: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd residence reference a possible deceased male. The male was confirmed deceased.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a violation. The driver was issued a citation for smoking marijuana in a moving vehicle.

Suspicious vehicle: Officers responded to a remote area south of the city limits reference an abandoned vehicle found in the desert.

Traffic accident w/o injury: An officer responded to a traffic crash without injuries.

April 5:

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and subsequently arrested the traffic violations.

Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to a Crystal Ct. residence for a report of a burglary that occurred during the night. Officer completed the report and investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious person: Mesquite officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reference suspicious circumstance.

Search warrant: While detectives executed a search warrant on Pheasant Dr., one adult male was arrested for obstruction and resisting.

Suspicious person: Officer completed a report on missing property.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. residence reference a report of a domestic disturbance.

April 6:

Controlled substance problem: An officer located a suspicious vehicle at a local city park, after park curfew hours. An adult male subject, less than 21 years old, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana under 1 ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Officer completed a theft report for a local business.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop and observed signs of impairment. The male driver was arrested for DUI.

April 7:

Battery on person: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino bar reference an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers determined a battery had occurred and subsequently arrested the intoxicated offender.

Theft from vehicle: Officer completed a report of a theft from vehicle.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer completed a property damage report.

Wanted person: A Mesquite Detective located an adult male with an active felony warrant. The male was arrested on the warrant and transported to jail.

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense. A police K9 indicated to the odor of illegal narcotics. During a search of the vehicle police located burnt marijuana inside. the driver was issued a citation for the traffic offense.

Traffic stop: Officers made a traffic stop for a traffic offense. One male was cited for open container alcohol and smoking marijuana in a moving vehicle.

Threatening: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence on a report of threatening. One female adult was issued a citation for Breach of Peace.
