Letter to the editor-Jarvis

On March 7th & 8th ParaLong Drive athletes enjoyed returning to your City for The ParaLong Drive Cup at the Mesquite Sports & Event Complex. With golfers from the U.S., Canada, South Africa, and the U.K. the event brought together athletes that have overcome amputation, paraplegia, blindness, brachial plexus injury, and Down syndrome to participate in a great day of competition.

The Mesquite NV Sports & Event Complex is the premier long drive grid in the world, and its a special treat for our athletes to hit on the same tee box that many long drive greats won World Championships on.

The key people and organizations that helped us put on a great event are Andre Carrier, Geno Withelder, Bill and Judi DePew, Gerri Chasko, Terri Rylander, Buck Schaeffel, Neil Sullivan, Joan Fitton, Nick Montoya and the Mesquite Athletic Department, and the Mesquite Fire Department.

We had a fantastic group of sponsors that made the event possible – Ottobock, Eureka Casino Resort, Rising Star Sports Ranch, Golf Pride, Wizard’s Putting Ring, Zero Friction, Martini Golf Tees, Myomo, Mesquite Realty, and USAGA.

‘Live-streaming’ action, photos, and video can be seen on Facebook pages – The ParaLong Drive Cup, and Dean Jarvis.

The athletes of ParaLong Drive and I had an amazing experience in Mesquite, and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
