After an extensive five-month search, Mesa View Regional Hospital recently announced Ned Hill has been named CEO effective Feb. 15.

Current CEO, Patty Holden, FACHE, will remain in her position until Hill begins in mid-February. Holden has served as CEO for more than five years and announced her retirement to hospital leadership last year.

“Serving the Mesquite community and our hospital for the last five years has been a great privilege for me,” Holden said.  “Together we have worked to improve the health of our community with a strong commitment to provide outstanding care. I am looking forward to enjoying my retirement and joining the local snowbirds I’ve been so fortunate to care for.”

Hill has been in health care leadership positions across the country for several years. Most recently he served as CEO of Northern Hospital of Surry County, a 133 bed hospital in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

“Ned’s health care leadership experience includes a track record of growth through physician recruitment,” said Collette Price, chairman of the hospital’s Board of Trustees.  “His experience and community perspectives are a good match for Mesa View. We are looking forward to him leading our hospital into the future.”

“I am excited to work with the team at Mesa View and the Mesquite community to continue services that meet the changing needs of the area and Moapa Valley region, and provide high-quality health care options to our patients,” Hill said. “I am confident we will continue to focus on Mesa View’s growth, quality and patient satisfaction. I look forward to being involved and getting to know the community.”

Dr. Joseph J. Jeppson, Chief of Staff for Mesa View stated: “Ned has the skill sets and experience for the role as CEO. We’re delighted that he shares our views on the enormous potential of our hospital and is focused on partnering with physicians to continue to provide outstanding care for patients.”
