J Alan Welker passed February 14, 2018, after a long fight with cancer.
J was born April 14, 1963 to Jerry Welker and Ella Hintz at St Joseph’s
Hospital in Polson, Montana.
J graduated from Polson High School in 1981. He worked in mines for several years. He did commercial fishing in Alaska. He worked in engineering at the Oasis Resort until it closed, and then went to the Virgin River Casino in engineering.
J enjoyed the outdoors, playing with his dog Zip. He also went on many hunting and fishing trips with his brother and father in his earlier years.
He is survived by: his father, Jerry Welker of Rollins, Montana; his mother, Ella Hintz of Scenic, Arizona; his brother John Welker and his wife Julia of Ronan Montana; his daughter, Justine Welker of Ronan, Montana; and his son, Joshua Welker of Scenic, Arizona. He has four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. J had several wonderful friends that were with him through his struggle.
