The City Clerk’s Office is accepting nominations for the Mesquite Distinguished Citizen Recognition Award. Distinguished Citizens are a special group of residents, business owners and community leaders, who have contributed significantly to making Mesquite a better place to live. These men and women of outstanding character can even be honored posthumously.
Nomination forms are now available in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall or on the City website – www.MesquiteNV.gov. Nominations are due to the City Clerk’s Office by noon on Friday, Feb. 16.
A committee of local residents will select an honoree and the individual chosen will be announced at the Feb. 27 City Council meeting.
