Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 160 total incidents in the blotter:

June25:

Recovered stolen vehicle: Officer responded to VR to locate stolen vehicle from St. George. Vehicle was located and SGPD was advised.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. store for a report of a theft occurring in the store. Loss Prevention employee witnessed the act and called the Officers for assistance and the suspect was apprehended.

June 26:

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to the Police Department reference a theft from a vehicle near a residence. Items were stolen from a parked vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a report of graffiti on the east side portion of a city building.

Missing person: Officers assisted a private school in locating two missing juveniles.

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to a report of a theft.

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to a local residence for a theft.

Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a report of a found vehicle by owner in which the owner reported the vehicle stolen out of Utah. The person who had possession of the vehicle was apprehended and is facing numerous charges. Investigation is still pending.

Trespassing: A male subject was arrested for violation of a trespass order. He was transported to the detention center and booked on the above charge.

June 27:

Phone harassment: Responded to Justice Court on Harassing phone calls. Attempted to call number back and received no answer. No further calls at this time.

Abandoned vehicle: An officer had placed a 24-hour parking notice. After 24 hours, the vehicle was impounded.

Found Property: An officer responded to a found wallet.

Assault: Officer responded to a report of an assault in progress. Spoke with parties involved and citation issued.

Phone harassment: An officer responded to the Justice Court in regard to Harassing phone calls. The male was contacted and told not to call the court again.

DUI: Officers were dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business reference a theft. An adult male was arrested for DUI and the female was cited for Petit Larceny.

Threatening: Officers responded on a Mesa Blvd. neighborhood dispute. A male subject was arrested was arrested for obstructing a public officer and transported to MDC.

Wanted person: An adult male was placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant. The male was transported to the detention center and booked on the warrant.

June 28:

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident.

Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino reference a disorderly male. The male was cited for breach of peace and trespassed from the property.

June 29:

Fraud: Officer responded to the lobby of the police department for a report of identity theft. Citizen was given a fraud packet and the incident will be investigated when the information is received.

Wanted person: Officers responded to a agency assist call at a Mesa Blvd. apartment complex. During the course of the investigation, Officers contacted and located a male with a active bench warrant. Male subject was arrested on aforementioned warrant.

Wanted person: While investigating another incident on Mesa Blvd. officer met a female subject with an active warrant. Female subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the detention center.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The male driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Mental person: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence for follow up on an earlier incident. Officers determined the male involved was unable to care for himself and was an immediate threat to himself and others around him. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

June 30:

Officer responded to a report of a minor traffic accident on Mesquite Boulevard. Officer completed an accident report.

Trespassing: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a female subject trespassing after being previously warned. Subject was issued a citation for violation of trespass and released with a court date.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to Desert Dr. argument between family members.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a report of a traffic accident at an intersection. Officer investigated the accident and completed the report.

Agency assistance: Officer assisted NHP with vehicle accident located on Interstate 15 at Mile Marker 109.Hit & Run: An officer responded to a business parking lot on a report of a hit and run accident. Damage was minor and no injuries were reported.

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. residence on a report of theft from a vehicle. There was no suspect information.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Tex St. residence on a report of domestic violence. Both parties were separated and officers determined there was no violence.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

Theft: Officers responded to a shoplifting and the investigation is ongoing.

July 1:

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible license plate. The adult driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued a citation.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a residence on a report of a broken window on a vehicle. Photos were taken and a report was completed.
