Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. May 28:

Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. hotel regarding theft from motor vehicle. Photos and statements obtained.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a report of hit and run on Colleen Ct. Information was obtained and a report generated.

Animal bite: Officer responded to an agency assist with ACO. Officer obtained information regarding a discharge of a firearm within the city limits.

Stolen vehicle: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business regarding a stolen vehicle. Information was obtained and a report was generated.

Phone Harassment: Officer took a report of harassment via e-mail. Officer will attempt to contact suspect.

Suicidal person: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence for an agency assist.

Fighting: Officer responded to a report of a fight in a Rivers Bend Dr. neighborhood. Officers determined it was between children and advised the guardians to keep them separated.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to the north roundabout at Falcon Ridge Pwky. in reference to a minor traffic accident. Information was exchanged, a citation issued, and a report was completed.

May 29:

Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to a report of stolen vehicle on Cora Cir.  Statements and photos obtained.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a Eldorado Rd. residence. Officers made contact with an adult male and adult female and were unable to determine if a battery had occurred.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. address on a reported property damage accident.

Theft: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on report of trespass and theft.

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported items were stolen from his vehicle.

DUI: An officer contacted a driver suspected of DUI, the result of the investigation was an adult arrest.

Trespassing: Officer observed trespass subject at W. Pioneer Rd. business. Management signed citation.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a verbal argument with no physical sign of domestic. All subjects went their separate ways for the night.

May 30:

Theft: Officer took a report on a theft from a motor vehicle.

Theft: An officer responded to a business reference a previous theft.

Burglary: Officer responded to a report of a burglary on Lewis St. After further investigation it was determined to be civil.

Stolen vehicle: Detectives made contact with a male and female who was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Both the male and female were arrested for possession of stolen vehicle.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a report of a property damage accident.

Suspicious person: An adult male left personal items unattended at a park. The items were booked into the vault for safe keeping.

May 31:

Fraud: An officer responded to the lobby of the police station reference fraudulent charges on a credit card.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested a male who had two (2) warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Person on foot: An officer observed a female commit a traffic offense.  She was arrested and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer was dispatched to a Riverside Rd. address, in reference to a property damage call.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer was contacted, at a Riverside Rd. address, in reference to property damage.

DUI: An officer was dispatched to a local intersection, in reference to a verbal dispute.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (2nd offense), open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and a traffic offense.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a S. Falcon Ridge Pkwy convenience store, reference a suspicious male. The male requested to be taken to the hospital for medical issues and was transported by medical personnel.

Battery on person: Officer responded to the hospital on a report of battery on health care staff

and trespassing. One adult male was arrested and a written statement gathered.

June 1:

Burglary: Officers responded to a suspicious person at a W Pioneer Blvd. business. One adult male was arrested for burglary related crimes, drug paraphernalia and obstructing officers.

Wanted person: Mesquite Detectives made contact with an adult male with an active warrant issued by the Mesquite Municipal Court. The male was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested an adult male that was selling methamphetamine within the City of Mesquite.

Person on foot: An officer located a male with probable cause to arrest for Narcotic Detectives.

DUI: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. gas station for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officer made contact with the driver. After investigation driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hit & Run: Officer’s responded to a property damage accident where the ‘at fault’ driver fled the scene. Upon further investigation, officers located the adult male suspect and he was arrested on multiple traffic charges.

Battery on person: Officer received a report of a battery that occurred earlier in the week. The investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct: Officers were dispatched to a local address, in reference to a breach of peace call.

Found property: An officer was dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a found property call.

June 2:

Threatening: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male threatening another male.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. department store reference a shoplifting call.

Evidence was gathered and attempts to locate the male suspect are ongoing.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a property damage traffic collision on N. Lower Flat Top Dr. The driver at fault was issued a citation and a report was completed.

June 3:

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. apartment complex reference a suspicious person call. Officers contacted a male and female who were involved in a verbal argument. It was determined no crime occurred.

Disorderly conduct: Officer responded to a local car dealership reference a suspicious male. Male was located and arrested for breach of peace.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without registration.  The occupants were found to be in possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.

Battery on person: Officer responded to a Colleen Ct. residence reference an assault call. Officer spoke with all parties involved; investigation continues.

Recovered stolen vehicle: An officer stopped behind a suspicious vehicle where four persons attempted to walk away.  All four suspects were located.  The vehicle was later found to be stolen and a firearm was recovered during the investigation.  All four suspects were arrested with felony charges.

Recovered stolen vehicle: Officer was contacted by outside agency who had recovered a stolen vehicle from outside the jurisdiction.
