Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 196 total incidents in the blotter:

June 4:

Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a Canyon Dr. residence on a report of an intoxicated female. Female’s husband responded and took the children to a different residence while female slept it off.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd motel, about a domestic battery.  An adult female was taken into custody for domestic battery (1st offense) and a separate battery charge.

Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of gun shots at a local apartment complex. +Neighbors were talked to, but no evidence of gun shots was found.

Trespassing: Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd. casino and issued one adult male a citation for defrauding an innkeeper.

Battery on person: Officers were dispatched to an E Pioneer Blvd. casino, about a battery.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for battery.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Officer observed a disabled vehicle at Mesa Blvd. casino, Vehicle was reported stolen out of LV.Verbal Dispute: Officers responded to a report of a Verbal Dispute at a N. Sandhill Blvd. hotel. Officers arrested an adult female for obstruction.Trespassing: Female continued to shop at Walmart after being trespassed. Loss Prevention of Walmart recognized her and signed a complaint against her for trespassing. The Female was located, cited and released.Suicidal Person: Officers responded on a suicidal person on Desert Willow Ln. Subject voluntarily agreed to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.June 5:Weapon Offense: Officers responded to the hospital for a report of a gunshot wound to gluteus maximus. During the investigation, the wound was apparently caused by a high-powered pellet. Investigation on going.Wanted person: Officer Responded to the PD lobby on an adult male turning himself in on a warrant.Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a two-car collision at a W Mesquite Blvd. business.Trespassing: Officer responded to a reported trespass at a Jody Ct. home for sale. Subjects had left the area prior to arrival.DUI: Officer responded to the Detention Center on an Agency Assist. After further investigation, it was determined the male subject was intoxicated and had driven a motorized vehicle to the facility. Subject was arrested for DUI.Weapon Offense: Officers responded to a W First South St. residence for shots being fired. A brief standoff ensued at the residence and a short time later the suspect was taken into custody without incident.June 6:Domestic Trouble: Officer responded to Mesa view on a report of a Domestic Battery between a mother and daughter. Victim was upset that police were called and refused to cooperate with officer.Domestic Violence: An officer responded to a verbal argument.Phone Harassment: Officer responded to a report of harassment. Upon speaking with the reporting party, he stated a competitor and former employee has been starting to be harassing and wanted it documented in the event it escalates. The RP stated the complaints now on what is being done is petty. The RP also wanted to ask what could be done about the individual using his business name. I advised the RP I will document his complaints and look into someone who is unauthorized to use his business name.June 7:Theft: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a report of a theft of a purse. A suspect was observed through surveillance and an investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect.Suspicious person: Officers responded to a Pulsipher Ln. residence to check on the welfare of a female and a young child.  Officers were unable to locate both subjects inside the residence.Fraud: An officer was dispatched to the police department, about fraud.Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. restaurant parking lot for a report of a non-injury accident.  Insurance information was exchanged and officers cleared without further incident.June 8:Suspicious vehicle: Officers located an adult male and a juvenile male talking outside a Falcon Ridge Pkwy. business.  The juvenile was release to his mother with a warning for curfew and the adult male was released without incident.Trespassing: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino reference a trespass incident. An adult female was issued a citation for trespassing.Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and determined the driver had a felony warrant.  The driver was arrested without incident.Suspicious Person: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. department store for a report of a female subject harassing other customers and acting very strange. Contact was made with the female. Female subject was taken into custody on a warrant out of another jurisdiction.Domestic Violence: Officer responded to a report of a domestic battery on N. Grapevine Dr.  After conducting a thorough investigation, officers arrested the primary aggressor without incident.June 9:Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to an intersection reference a past single vehicle accident in a construction zone.Found property: An officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. store reference a lost wallet.Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. The female driver was arrested for a warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia.Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult driver was issued traffic citations. The adult passenger was arrested for minor consumption of alcohol, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Wanted person: An officer contacted a male subject known to have a felony warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested on the warrant without incident.DUI: Officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision with injuries.  One adult male was arrested for DUI and traffic related incidents.Suicidal person: Officers responded to a Jackrabbit St. residence on a report of a suicidal male. Officers contacted the male and he was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.Controlled Substance Problem: An officer found a suspicious vehicle in a World Champion Way parking lot.  Two adult females were issued citations for marijuana offenses.June 10:Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence reference a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, an officer observed a domestic battery occur. One adult female was arrested for domestic battery.Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a property damage accident on a city roadway.Disorderly conduct: Police responded to a suspicious incident on N. Grapevine Rd. One adult male was arrested for a misdemeanor offense and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.Theft: Police took a report for a stolen purse.Threatening: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino on a report of threatening.  Security requested to sign for breach of peace. Subject refused to cooperate and was placed under arrest.DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest for DUI.Trespassing: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino for a trespass violator. One male subject was issued a citation for trespassing and released with a court date.Agency Assistance: Officer responded to assist Las Vegas Metropolitan Police who was out with individuals who drove off on a traffic stop earlier. During the investigation, it was found one of the male’s had an outstanding warrant with the Mesquite Police Department. The male was cited and released by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The suspect taken into custody for the warrant by the Mesquite Police.Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. convenience store for a report of a vehicle that ran into a building. A report was taken.
