Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 199 total incidents in the blotter:

June 11:
Civil Matter: Officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. After further investigation
it was determined not to be stolen.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer responded to Mesa View Hospital Emergency Room in reference drugs found on patient. The suspected drugs were booked into evidence, and the adult female was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine.
Fraud: Officer responded to the Police lobby for a report of a fraud that occurred in
another jurisdiction. A courtesy report was taken for the R/P to be forwarded to
proper Law Enforcement agency.
Domestic Violence IP: Male subject was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Mesquite
Detention Center and booked.
June 12:
Parking Problem: Officer placed 24-hour parking notice on a disabled vehicle which has been
parked on public roadway for several months.
Controlled Substance Problem: Detectives responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business reference a smoking device that is used to ingest methamphetamine.
DUI: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in a construction
zone. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Trespassing: Officer Responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a trespass violator. The male was
arrested for trespassing and an arrest warrant.
June 13:
Trespassing: A male subject was arrested for obstructing, trespassing, and defrauding and
innkeeper. He was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center and booked.
Citizen Assist: An officer responded to the emergency room reference an assault that occurred in
Las Vegas. A report for information was completed.
Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: Officer was flagged down by a driver who was involved in a Property Damage
Accident.
Lost Property:  An officer completed a report for lost property.
Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: An officer completed a report for property damage.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Verbena Ln. residence on a report of Domestic Disturbance. Officers determined that a fire was set within the residence while family was sleeping
and were awoken by the fire alarm. The father was attempting to discipline the child resulting in officers being called.
Found Property: Officer took a report of found property and attempted to contact the owner of the property.
June 14:
Theft: An officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference defrauding an innkeeper.
Wanted person: An officer contacted an adult female with two bench warrants.  The adult female
was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.
Identity theft: Officer responded to the lobby of the police department for a report of identity
theft. Citizen requested a report of identity theft do dispute charges on an
account opened in her name without her consent.
Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to the Falcon Ridge Pkwy. & Hardy Way intersection on a report of a traffic
accident. One female driver was issued citations and a report was taken.
Welfare check: An officer responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. residence for a welfare check.
Assault/Battery: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business for a report of an assault. All
involved subjects were interviewed and no charges were filed.
June 15:
Domestic Trouble: Officers observed minor traffic violations.  Upon further investigation, it was
determined that a domestic battery had occurred.  One subject was taken into
custody for domestic battery and other offenses.
Found property: An officer responded to the detention center reference a found out-of-state
driver license.
Found property: An officer responded to the detention center reference found keys.
Fraud: Officer responded to a Sage Way residence for a report of a fraud. Officer took a
report and investigation is ongoing.
Animal Bite: Officers responded to the local hospital and took a report of an animal bite.
This report will be forwarded to Mesquite Animal Control.
Driving Under the Influence: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver, an adult male, was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense) and
a traffic offense.
Civil Matter: Officers responded to a Hardy Way residence and answered questions about child
custody and other civil matters.
June 16:
Dead Body: Officer responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. residence for a report of a deceased person.
Officer contacted Clark County Coroner’s Office, who responded and took custody of the body.
Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to a Rodeo Ln. residence reference theft of property from a parked vehicle.
Suicidal person: An officer responded to Mesa Springs Drive reference an attempted suicide.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. bank for a report of a possible fraud. Employees advised no money was received, but the suspicious female left prior to police contact.
Wanted person: An officer located an adult female with an outstanding felony warrant.  She was
arrested and awaiting transfer to Clark County Detention Center.
Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult male driver was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested for drug offenses.
Juvenile problem: Officers responded to an Adobe Dr. residence reference a juvenile problem.  Officers spoke with the juvenile and her parents and both parties agreed to stay separated for the night, address their issues in the morning after tempers have settled.
June 17:
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a E. Pioneer Blvd.  casino reference theft from a vehicle.  Officers could identify a suspect and will attempt to locate. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit & Run: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. address, about a hit and run
traffic accident.
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Officers answered civil questions regarding child custody.
Suspicious person: An officer responded to a suspicious call for service.
Wanted person: An officer located a female with a felony warrant out of Illinois.  Illinois
requested she be extradited, the female was arrested on the warrant.
