Terry David King, 65, passed away on June 24, 2017 at his home in Mesquite, NV. Terry was born on October 29, 1951 in Ottumwa, IA to Lowell Dale King and Ruth Ann Saner. He married Paula Jane Foster in Ottumwa, IA on May 18, 1973.
Terry was raised in Iowa, were he met Paula and started his family. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the many family dinners and other gatherings. In 1993 he moved to Mesquite with Paula where they have made many good friends.
Terry’s favorite sport was bowling, going five times a week for many years. He also liked to play golf, and go play bingo where Paula worked. From a young age, Terry liked to ride motorcycles/ATVs, would drive fast, and was proud of owning a Harley. He liked spending time with Paula and friends out in the Mesquite desert, often shooting or riding ATV’s. He and Paula were very happy to have checked off traveling to Maui, HI off of their bucket list, where they enjoyed a great vacation with their children this last May.
Terry is survived by his wife, Paula King; his son, Billy Miller (Laura) of Seymour, IA; his daughter, Michelle Parada of Ogden, UT; his grandchildren, Daphne Parada, Zachary Parada, Derek Miller, Nicholas Miller, Heather Carpenter, Jennifer Jordan, Beth Davis, and Ashley Buckallew; his nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Danny King. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, and his sister.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a donation to Mesa View Hospice of Mesquite, NV in gratitude of the wonderful care they provided to Terry.
