Eureka Casino Resorts Gerri Chasko has received a $5,000 check from Ralph Morocco, retired MIS Manager at the Eureka, for the summer Mesquite Reads program. Mr. Morocco also pledged to provide $500 per month for the duration of the program. The Eureka provides lunch every Thursday during the summer months for the Virgin Valley elementary school students enrolled in the Mesquite Reads program designed to improve their reading and mathematics skills grades K through grade 3.
This is not the first time Mr. Morocco has donated funds to local non-profit organizations. He has donated over $25,000 in the past several years to organizations such as the Mesquite Special Olympics, the State of Nevada Special Olympics and the Mesquite branch of the Salvation Army. He has a genuine interest in community events that meet the needs of young people and their families.
