The DaySprings Ranch Youth Center located at 211 First South Street Suite C will be holding a Carne Asada dinner fundraiser on June 3 from 5 – 7 p.m. sponsored by Living Waters Fellowship.

Cost for dinners are $15 per adult, $7 per child ages 6 – 10 and free for children ages five and under. Families consisting of five or more people can pay a flat rate of $60 for their meal.

The funds raised will go towards the operating expenses of the center, which is also preparing to expand their hours for the summer months, while teens are out of school.

According to co-founder Dennis Lee, the center will be open Monday through Saturday from 4 – 10 p.m. starting June 1.

After being open just two months, the center has seen an overwhelming amount of popularity among the teens who needed a community place to hang out and have fun. Equipped with table games, pool and foosball tables as well as air hockey and digital gaming systems, Lee said that the Center is filling a long void the youth of Mesquite have been needing for many years.

To fulfill that need, the DaySprings Youth Center is seeking volunteers to supervise during the hours they intend on being open, which may expand as staffing becomes available. Anyone interested in volunteering for a four-hour shift may contact Lee at 702-427-3854.
