March 5:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of a broken window on Carrara from a golf ball near a golf course. Spoke with parties involved and advised it was a civil issue.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult male driver was arrested for DUI-Alcohol, minor consumption and open container of alcohol. Two passengers were arrested for open container, obstruction and a misdemeanor warrant.

Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business on a theft of merchandise. Subject was arrested and property returned.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence for a report of a domestic in progress. Two (2) females were arrested and cited for domestic battery.

March 6:

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a local parking lot in reference to a property damage vehicle accident.

Citizen Assist: Police took a report for fraudulent use of a license plate.

Traffic Stop: Officer observed vehicle speeding above the posted speed limit in a school zone and conducts a traffic stop. It was discovered the vehicle has a suspended registration and no valid insurance. The driver was cited and informed the vehicle was going to be impounded for said violations. The driver became irate and began swearing at the officers on the scene. The male was arrested for breach of peace.

Fraud: Officer took a report of an attempted fraud at a local Credit Union.

Theft: Police took a report for a theft from a storage unit.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer responded to the Mesquite Detention Center in reference to a controlled substance found on an inmate.

Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a local hotel for an intoxicated male subject. An arrest was made for Disturbing the Peace.

March 7:

Traffic Stop: Officer observed a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic lanes and making an improper turn. Upon conducting a traffic stop the officer’s investigation showed

The driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI.

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI and open container.

March 8:

Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of graffiti at a Second South St. city park. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a report of a theft at a local store.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane.

The female driver was arrested for DUI.

March 9:

Fraud: An officer responded to a residence to assist a citizen with fraudulent charges on a credit card.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop for multiple violations. The driver was arrested for felony DUI.

Person on foot: An officer contacted two females who were jaywalking. Both females were issued citations for being intoxicated in the roadway.

Battery on Person: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino reference disorderly conduct. One male was given a citation for battery.

March 10:

Trespassing: An officer was dispatched to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino in reference to a trespassing incident.  One adult male subject was cited for trespassing.  Another adult male subject was taken into custody for trespassing and obstructing a public officer.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Commerce Cir.  business for a report of property damage. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a suspicious call at an E. Mesquite Blvd. residence.  A report was taken to document the activity.

March 11:

Verbal Dispute IP: Officers were dispatched to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business in reference to a verbal dispute.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a traffic accident which occurred on private property. No injuries were reported and a report was completed.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer made a traffic stop for violations. One adult male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
