Police Blotter March 19-25, 2017

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 179 total incidents in the blotter:

March 19:

Burglary: Officers responded for a report of property damage on Riverside Dr.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a report of property damage. Offender also had a warrant out of another jurisdiction for failure to appear. Subject was taken into custody.

Wanted person: An officer responded to a wanted person.

Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a report of theft from a vehicle. Report was generated.

Theft: Officer responded to a theft of patio furniture on Madrigal Dr. Report and photos were taken.

Agency Assistance: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. parking lot in reference to a possible suicidal person.

Agency Assistance: An officer responded to the detention center for a medical transport of an inmate.

Theft from Vehicle: Officers took a report for a reported theft from a vehicle. Information was obtained and stolen items were listed.

Theft from Vehicle: Officer took a report of a stolen license plate.

Dead Body: Officers responded to a welfare check on Mesa Blvd. Upon arrival the male subject who the welfare check was for was found deceased. It appeared to be a natural death and the Clark County Coroners was called to confirm. Coroner will take over the investigation.

March 20:

Verbal Dispute : Officers responded to a residence reference a verbal argument between two individuals. Both individuals agreed not to argue and the female left the residence.

170320-09     Found Property: Officer responded to a found property call for a red BMX bicycle on Pulsipher Ln. Officer walked the area and bike was not present in the area specified.

Citizen Assist: Police took a report for a theft from vehicle.

Theft: Officer took a report of theft of property on N. Grapevine Rd. Complainant reported that an unknown female had taken her DVD player. Incident was created.

Found Property: An Officer responded to a business reference a found firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

Weapon offense: Officers responded to a report of a weapons offense on Pulsipher Ln. Officers spoke with all parties involved, obtained statements. Incident was generated.

Theft from vehicle: An officer received a complaint of a theft from a vehicle.

Citizen Assist: An officer responded to the lobby for a citizen assist.

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a trespass violator. One individual was cited for trespassing and released with a court date.

Found Property: Citizens turned in cell phone they found on San Pedro Way.

March 21:

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence on a reported fight between family members. Officers arrested primary aggressor.

Found Property: An officer responded to the Police Department reference a male who located a set of keys in the road while walking. The keys were placed into evidence as found property.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: An officer responded to a phone call in reference to a civil matter.

Mental Person: Officer responded to a report of theft from a motor home on Sandhill Blvd. Upon contact with alleged victim officers found her to be uncooperative.

Theft: An Officer took a report on stolen property from a storage unit. The investigation is ongoing.

Weapon Offense: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. motel reference a weapons offense. Upon investigation, no weapons were involved, and a female individual was taken to the hospital for a legal 2000.

Domestic Violence IP W/ Weapon: Officers responded on a verbal argument in a parking lot on Sandhill Blvd. Subjects later agreed to a plan and left property.

March 22:

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a family argument.

Welfare check: Officer responded to a request for a welfare check of a child from a non-custodial parent. The Officer observed no signs of abuse or maltreatment.

Controlled substance problem: Detectives collected medication for the Drug Take Back Program.

Lost Property: Officer responded to a report of lost property. Citizen reported losing her wallet at a local restaurant on E. Pioneer Blvd. that contained her identification. Citizen was advised she would be contacted if wallet was located.

Traffic Stop: An officer recognized a female who had an active warrant for her arrest out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The officer contacted the female and she was arrested on the warrant.

Wanted person: Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a lane violation. One adult male was arrested for a felony warrant.

March 23:

Minor Gambling: Officer responded to a local casino on an underage gambler. One male admitted to gambling underage and was cited and released.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a N. Willow St. residence reference a suspicious circumstance.

Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a report of a male disturbing the peace of citizens. Upon attempting to arrest the male, he resisted officers, following a brief struggle; he was placed into custody for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Theft: An officer responded to a report of stolen medication on W. Sierra Vista Cir. A report was taken.

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a vehicle verse building accident. There was minor damage done to building and all parties had exchange insurance information.

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a non-injury traffic accident. A report was taken.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. One adult male was cited for open container and denied DL.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The driver was issued a citation for speeding, and two passengers were cited for open container of alcohol.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a residence on a report of property damage. There is no offender information at this time.

March 24:

Wanted person: Officers contacted a missing juvenile who had two warrants for her arrest. The juvenile was arrested and transported to CCJH in Las Vegas.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult female driver was arrested for DUI.

 

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer made traffic stop on a vehicle for a lane violation. One adult male was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

March 25:

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The adult minor passenger was issued a citation for minor consumption of alcohol.

Wanted person: Officer made contact with an adult female at a Mesa Blvd. casino who had a warrant.

The female was arrested without incident.
