January 31, 1940 ~ February 24, 2017

On February 24, 2017, the world lost a great man who always had the heart of a true cowboy. He worked hard all his life to make life around him more beautiful and to function to perfection.

Neil was born in Logan, Utah January 31, 1940, to Blaine and Faye Nielson Anderson. From the time he started to walk, he was into whatever looked like fun even if it got him into trouble. He graduated from Murray High School in 1958 and always remained true to his school.

He had many friends growing up. He was loyal to them and many remained in his life right to the end. He served in the Air Force where he served honorably. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and he was master of all of them. He could sell anything and his word and handshake were bonds he never broke. His life of service to all who knew him brought love and admiration that he richly deserved but never expected. He and Lorna Clark Anderson were married for 26 years and sealed in the Vernal Utah Temple on July 15, 1999. They loved to travel together and made many friends wherever the motor home took them. Throughout his life his physical body struggled to keep up with his huge heart and need to be useful. That huge heart finally gave up that fight and he returned to his heavenly home. He loved his family and always made sure he knew what was happening with each one. He loved his grandkids and they loved grandpa or Papa 2. He leaves a huge hole that won’t be filled until we can reunite with him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorna Clark Anderson; daughters, Tina Anderson and

GaNeil (Travis) Winder; his sons, Robert (Suzan) Anderson, Gary Wright, and Brett Wright; step-sons, David (Brandy) Pitt, Kary Pitt, Randy Pitt; and step-daughter Tara Pitt. He is also survived by his sisters, Lona (Woody) Rogers and Laurie (Roger) Anderson; and brothers, Ron (Korahle) Anderson and Joe (Darlene) Anderson. He is survived by a great legacy of grand, great-grand and great-great-grand-kids whom he loved dearly and they loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Faye Anderson as well as a baby daughter, Colleen Anderson.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Glines 5th LDS Ward Chapel (150 So.
