Everyone needs a bit of humor in their life. Tuna Does Vegas, showing for the final time this weekend, March 24 and 25 at 7 p.m., is sure to lighten your spirits and add some much-needed humor.
An adult comedy, Tuna pushes the envelope on sarcasm in all the right ways, leaving the audience laughing long after the joke has ended.
It begins with Arlis Struvie, a radio announcer for the local station in Tuna, Texas. He announces that he and his wife Bertha will be renewing their vows in Las Vegas. His listeners, which happens to be the entire town, love the idea so much that they all find a reason to head out to Sin City too. How they get there and how they plan on getting home add to the unpredictable storyline from start to finish.

While there are some remarks that tend to rub some people the wrong way, the overall conversation fits right in to what someone might assume for the “third smallest town in Texas.” It’s priceless and perfect for the characters in the show.

Two people play 18 of the characters, and the talents that they perform with are just as amazing as the costumes created for the parts. Teri Nehrenz, Matt McDonald and Denis Feehan all lend to this incredible trip, with the voice talent of Chad Calmelat soothing the audience throughout the show.
This is the final production for the Virgin Valley Theatre Group’s 2016-2017 season, and you won’t want to miss it. Tickets are available prior to show time each day for just $15 at 150 N. Yucca St.
