Police Blotter Feb. 19-25, 2017
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 143 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 19:
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident on Hillside Dr. After an investigation, the male driver was arrested for DUI and various traffic offenses.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator. The subject was identified and his trespass violation was confirmed. The subject received a citation for trespassing and was released with a court date.
Missing Person: Officer responded to the police department to take a report of a missing person.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to an orange bag found in the back yard of the complainant on Sandbar St.
Welfare Check: An officer responded to a welfare check on Ruby Cir., the female was in good condition and asked no further welfare checks from the complainant be conducted.
Intoxicated Person: An officer observed two intoxicated people in the roadway on Smokey Ln.
Driving Under the Influence: An officer responded to Interstate 15 for a report of a driver swerving all over the road. The officer was able to locate the vehicle and observed it swerving. The officer conducted a traffic stop which lead to the driver being arrested for DUI, open container, and other traffic offenses.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic violations. The driver had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Upon arrest, illegal drugs were located on the driver.
Traffic Stop: Officer observed a vehicle with expired plates driving on a public roadway. Driver was cited and vehicle was impounded.

Feb. 20:
DUI: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business regarding a property damage accident. Upon arrival, it was determined the driver was DUI.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver.
Burglary: Police took a report for multiple burglaries at a storage facility on Kitty Hawk Dr. The crimes are currently under investigation.

Feb. 21:
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer took a report of graffiti at a W. First North St. park. Photos were taken and a report generated. Park employees were on scene and will clean it off.
Fraud: Officer received a report of fraud which had occurred over the Internet. Officer obtained statements and a report was taken.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer received a request for assistance in identifying a male adult.
Theft: An officer received a report of a theft of construction equipment from a vehicle on Jacaranda St.
Wanted person: A male adult was identified and arrested for a bench warrant.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Kitty Hawk Dr. residence reference a domestic situation. At the conclusion of the investigation a female was arrested on charges of domestic battery.
Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to an Eagle St. residence reference a verbal argument. After an investigation, the victim requested to issue a citation against a neighbor who was later arrested.
Wanted Person: A male subject was located on Aztec Dr. and arrested for an active arrest warrant issued out of the Municipal Court of Mesquite.

Feb. 22:
Burglary IP: Officers responded to an attempted burglary in progress on Monaco Ct. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.
Theft from vehicle: An officer took a report for a stolen license plate on Pulsipher Ln.
Theft from vehicle: While on another incident, officers learned of a theft from a motor vehicle on Vista Dr. A report was taken.
Traffic accident W/O injury: A private property accident report was taken.
Theft: Officer responded to a local department store for a report of a theft that had occurred on the previous day. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded on a report of a domestic battery that occurred earlier in the day on Grapevine Rd. An arrest was made.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a verbal family argument on Old Mill Rd.

Feb. 23:
Burglary IP: Officers responded to an attempted burglary in progress. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.
Burglary: Officers responded on a construction site burglary. A report was taken.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded on a property damage call on N. Yucca St.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. The adult male driver was arrested for drug paraphernalia and other violations.

Feb. 24:
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for several traffic violations.
Fraud: A report was taken for counterfeit money found in a Mesa Blvd. hotel room.
Theft from vehicle: Report taken over the phone for insurance purposes.
DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. Officers observed the driver might be impaired. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for DUI.

Feb. 25:
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in a W. Pioneer Blvd. parking lot. One adult male and one adult female were arrested for various narcotic offenses.
Graffiti: An officer discovered graffiti and completed a report.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Sandbar St. residence reference a domestic violence incident. Officers determined a domestic battery had occurred and the male suspect was arrested for felony domestic battery and obstructing a public officer.
