Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 145 total incidents in the blotter:

Nov. 27:

Verbal Dispute IP: Officer responded to a Jensen Dr. residence regarding a dispute. Officer spoke with all parties involved and a report was taken.

Theft: An officer responded to a citizen assist and took a report of a possible theft.

Found Property: Officer was contacted by a citizen who had found a wallet in a parking lot. The officer located the owner.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop and issued three citations. The driver had three traffic warrants out of Las Vegas. The driver was placed into custody and booked on the traffic citations.

Trespassing: Officer responded to a local business regarding a trespassed subject. Officer confirmed the subject had in fact been trespassed from the property and was taken into custody.

 

Nov. 28:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance in a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino parking lot. Two subjects were identified and issued citations for drug paraphernalia.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to the area of Sandhill Boulevard and Hillside Drive on a report of a two car collision. Both drivers refused medical treatment and one citation was issued.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a single vehicle non-injury traffic accident. A report was taken.

Wanted person: Officer observed an adult male with an outstanding warrant entering a local casino. Officer took the male into custody.

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a belligerent female who was arguing with security and refused to leave. The female was read the trespass warning and shortly after arrested for trespassing.

 

Nov. 29:

Theft: Officer responded to an Admiral Benbow Way neighborhood on a report of item removed from a house under construction. Report was taken.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a report of theft from the gift shop. Officer obtained all surveillance and documentation and a report was generated.

Found Property: Officer responded to the court house on a report of found property. Officer took possession of two cell phones.

Found Property: An officer responded to the lobby in reference to found property.

Theft: Officers were called to the local Walmart for a report of a theft. The crime occurred thirty minutes prior to the report being made. Customer walked out with numerous items. No suspect(s) have been identified at this time

DUI: A vehicle was stopped for having expired license plates. During the stop it was discovered the driver was intoxicated and shortly after arrested for DUI and other traffic offenses.

 

Nov. 30:

Battery on Person: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino reference a battered adult patron; a report was taken.

Traffic Stop: Officer observed vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle. The driver admitted he had less than an ounce of marijuana and didn’t have a medical marijuana card. The driver stated he had left work and was heading home. The driver was cited and released.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Mesquite Officer responded to Valley View Dr. school reference a suspicious circumstance.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Mesquite Officers responded to Marilyn Pkwy in reference to a single vehicle traffic accident. The driver was released with a citation.

 

Dec. 1:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded on an accident on W. Mesquite Blvd. in which the “at fault” driver and vehicle left the scene.Fraud: An officer completed a fraud report for a citizen.Burglary IP: Officers responded to a local residence, in reference to a burglary in progress. An intoxicated adult female subject was taken into custody for breach of peace, trespassing, battery, and destruction of property.Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult female driver had an active warrant for her arrest. Upon searching the female she was found to be in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on these drug charges and traffic violations. Dec. 2:Domestic Violence IP: Officer responded to a report of two subjects arguing in a parking lot. Male subject was taken into custody for an unrelated warrant.Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business for a report of a minor accident without injuries. A driver’s exchange report was completed and given to all parties involved.Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident involving a woman heard screaming from a nearby Moss St. residence. Contact was made with the occupant of the residence and after investigation one male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery. Dec. 3:

Fraud: An Officer took a report of an attempted fraud by a telephone call. Information was received and a report completed.

Theft: An officer received a report of a theft of golf clubs.

Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to a W. Hafen Ln. business for a noise complaint. Officers spoke to the involved parties and they agreed to lower their music.
