Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 123 total incidents in the blotter:

Dec. 4:

Hit & Run: An officer responded to the area of Sandhill and Hillside for a reported hit and run accident. Information was gathered and a report completed.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business regarding a private property accident. Officer obtained information and exchanged driver’s information.

Disorderly Conduct: A male subject was taken into custody for breach of peace and transported to the detention center.Wanted person: An officer responded to the detention center to take an adult female into custody for an active arrest warrant.Dec. 5:Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An Officer completed an exchange of information on a private property accident, involving a vehicle backing into a parked vehicle.Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer responded to a local residence regarding an attempted fraud. Officer obtained information and a report was taken.Lost property: An officer responded to the police department and took a report of lost property. A description of the property along with details was obtained and a report completed.Verbal Dispute: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino in reference to a verbal argument.Fraud: Officer responded to a Tannery Hts. residence regarding Identity Theft. Officer obtained information and a report was taken.Suspicious person: A male subject was issued a citation for property damage for causing damage to a screen window of a residence on W. Mesquite Blvd. The male was cited and released with a Court date.Agency Assistance: An officer conducted a welfare check, at the request from an agency from another State.Hit & Run: Officer responded to a Riverside Rd. business on a hit and run. Officer obtained information and a report was taken.Suicidal Person: An adult female reported to be a suicidal person was located and found to be safe and not suicidal.

Wanted person: A female was located on Sun Valley Dr. and arrested for and active warrant. Female was transported to the detention center and booked on the warrant.

Dec. 6:

Wanted person: Officer made contact with an adult female with an active misdemeanor warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The Female was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center without incident.

Runaway Juvenile: An officer responded to a Falcon Ridge Pkwy. lot in reference to a runaway juvenile.

Suspicious Person: An officer took a report of the theft of a package delivered to a residence. It was later learned a friend had moved the package.

Fraud: Officers responded to a theft at the local Walmart discount store. A male purchased an item. He then returned a couple hours later and took the same item off the shelf and carried it to customer service desk. By using his receipt from his earlier purchase, he returned the new item to receive money.

Domestic Violence: Following an investigation one female was taken into custody for domestic battery and transported to the Mesquite Detention.

Dec. 7:

Fraud: Officer took a report of a credit card fraud.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to property damage on private property. A driver’s exchange form was provided to each party.

File False Police Report: Officers responded to a Moss Dr. residence on a report of property damage. Officers determined that the reporting party filed a false police report during the investigation, and that the damage was a result of his own negligence.

Vandalism: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino’s parking lot, in reference to vandalism.

Dec. 8:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer took a report of damage to vehicle.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Officers located two male subjects, and upon investigation arrested both subjects for possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substances.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a Smokey Ln. apartment complex for a report of a hit and run crash. Officers located the offender’s vehicle and later the driver. The female driver was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.

 

Dec. 9:

Agency Assistance: Officers responded to an Emperor Ln. residence on a report of an unattended death of an elderly female. There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and all investigation was handled by the coroner’s office.

Agency Assistance: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence for a report of an agency assist with Mesquite Fire and Rescue for a female who attempted to commit suicide.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. store on a retail theft. One adult male was cited and released for petit larceny.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers contacted two male subjects at a W. Pioneer Blvd. business, upon further investigation they were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Dec. 10:

Fraud: Officer responded to a Mimosa Way residence regarding a fraud. Officer obtained information and a report was taken.

Reckless Driver: An officer received a complaint of a reckless driver. The driver was located and identified, but parked in a private property parking area.

Domestic violence : An officer responded to a verbal dispute between two intoxicated adults on Riverside Rd. Dispute was verbal only and both subjects were issued a warning to keep the noise down.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a non-injury single vehicle accident. A report was completed and citation issued to the driver.

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to an Indian Wells Rd. residence reference a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, two subjects were arrested for domestic battery and transported to the local detention center.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a report of a physical altercation between a male and a female on W. Mesquite Blvd. After an investigation, both the adult male and adult female were arrested for domestic battery.
