Police Blotter Oct. 23-29, 2016
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 134 total incidents in the blotter:

Oct. 23:
Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a W. first south residence for a report of a male subject trespassing. Officers arrived and contacted the male. The male was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Recovered Stolen Property: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a report of recovered stolen vehicle from out of state.
Stolen Vehicle: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino on a report of a stolen vehicle.
Agency Assistance: Officers responded to a traffic accident that occurred on I15, near the 122 off ramp.
Stolen Property: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. Casino on a report of stolen property
Oct. 24:
Theft: Employee got off of work at a Mesa Blvd. casino to find her vehicle was tampered with.

Fraud: An officer received a report of a fraud from 2015, from a complainant in Canada.
Domestic Violence IP: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. motel on a report of a verbal domestic.  Officer spoke with all parties involved and a report was taken.
Found Property: Officers responded to City Hall on a report of found property.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer responded to a call for a private property traffic accident.
Theft: Officers responded to an apartment complex on a report of stolen property.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a local residence regarding damage to property. Officer took photos and a report was taken.
Abuse/Neglect: Officers responded to assist with locating the parents of a child who had not been picked up from the school discovered by the Officer, the driver had been drinking. The driver was not DUI but cited and released with speeding and minor consumption of alcohol.
Oct. 25:
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run accident at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino.
Missing Person: An Officer responded to the police department regarding a missing person. Information was obtained  before attempting to locate.
Found Person: Officer located a missing male. Male was transported to local hospital to receive medical and physiological treatment.
Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: An Officer responded to a non-injury single vehicle accident on Turtleback Rd.  After an investigation the adult male driver was issued a citation.
Oct. 26:
Theft: An Officer took a report for a theft of a Trump sign from the reporting parties front yard on Cottonwood Dr.
Theft: An Officer took a report for a theft of a Trump sign from the reporting parties front yard on Cottonwood Dr.
Threatening: An Officer took a report for threatening.
Theft: Officer responded to a report of theft of a political sign from a front yard of a residence on Larkspur Ln. Officer took a report and investigation is ongoing.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Suspicious e-mail received by Mesquite City Hall
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An Officer took a report on a neighbor dispute on Rio Valley.
Fraud: A report was taken for debit card fraud.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: A report was taken for damaged to a vehicle on Rivers Bend Dr. The investigation is ongoing.
Assault IP: An Officer responded on a keep the peace between neighbors on N. Grapevine Dr. Peace was maintained and understandings reached.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. A drug sniffing K9 alerted to the odor of illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. The driver was issued a citation and release.
Oct. 27:
Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to a Canyon View Way residence, in reference to a domestic in progress.  An adult female subject was arrested for domestic battery (1st offense).
Minor Gambling: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a report of a minor gambling. One 19 year old female was cited and released for minor gambling.
Traffic Stop: While on routine patrol an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Through investigation two subjects were taken into custody for warrants and narcotic related charges.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers were conducting a follow up investigation at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. Offenders were identified and found to be in possession of controlled substances. Arrests were made.
Theft: Officer responded to a Fairways Dr. neighborhood reference a theft incident involving political signs. A report was completed and the investigation is ongoing.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence for a suspicious situation. Officers arrested two individuals for warrants and possession of drugs.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. parking lot on a vehicle with multiple subjects with warrants and other charges for arrest. Two males and one female were taken to jail for drugs and other charges related to the investigation.
Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. grocery store, in reference to a theft.  An adult male subject was cited and released for petit larceny.
Oct. 28:
Battery on Person: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Mesa Blvd. motel. One adult female was cited and released for battery.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident at the round-about on W Mesquite Blvd. A report was taken.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver was arrested for an active warrant, no driver’s license, no insurance, suspended registration, fictitious registration, and open container of alcohol.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver was issued citations, and the passenger was arrested for open container of alcohol.
Traffic Stop: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver was cited for basic speeding.  A passenger in the vehicle was cited for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and adult minor consumption of alcohol.
Battery on Person: Officers responded to a battery at an E. Pioneer Blvd. hotel. Two adult suspects were identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Oct. 29:
Parking problem: An officer impounded an abandoned vehicle parked in a no parking area.

Found property: Officer located a cell phone in the lobby of the Detention Center.  Officer was unable to locate the owner and the phone was placed in safe keeping.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. Casino for a male who was trespassing. After warning by Officer to leave property, male did not leave and was arrested for trespassing.
Missing Person: Officers responded to a local business on a report of a missing person who was shortly thereafter found.
Domestic Violence IP: Husband and wife get into physical dispute. They had separated and the husband needs to be located for questioning.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: A report was taken for property damage to two vehicles. The victim requested an incident number to report to her local insurance company.
