Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 200 total incidents in the blotter:

Nov. 6:

Threatening: Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. casino’s parking lot, in reference to an intoxicated subject making threats.  This subject was taken into custody for property damage and another adult female subject was taken into custody for misdemeanor warrants.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer contacted two male subjects in a city park in the early morning hours. Both males were found in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. They were issued citations and released.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer responded to a Jackrabbit St.  residence regarding a weapons offence.  Officer spoke with all parties involved and a report was taken.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer responded to a local park regarding an intoxicated subject.  Officer arrived and observed an adult male who was clearly intoxicated and visibly consuming an alcoholic Beverage.

Assault IP: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. hotel for a reported fight between two subjects. Both parties refused prosecution, with one involved party leaving property.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to the detention center reference a domestic disturbance. A report was taken and forward to the city attorney for review.

Domestic Violence IP: A male subject from Sun Valley Dr. was taken into custody for domestic battery, resisting arrest, and battery on another person.

Nov. 7:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a single vehicle non-injury accident, where a vehicle struck the median.

Burglary: Officer responded to a Commerce Cr. business regarding a burglary.  Officer obtained photos and a report was taken.

Theft from Vehicle: Officers responded to local golf course on a report of a theft.

Death Investigation: Officers responded to a Smoke Signal residence regarding a medical assist. Upon arrival officers discovered the resident was deceased.  Detectives and the Coroner’s Office was contacted.

Fraud: Officer took a telephone report of the fraudulent use of a credit card. Information was received and a report taken. The crime is under investigation.

Theft from Vehicle: Officers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle on Desert Winds Way.

Traffic Problem: An officer was conducting traffic enforcement when he observed a vehicle make a violation.  The driver refused to yield; an adult arrest was made after an investigation.

Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a Topaz Ln. residence on a report of theft from vehicle. Officer spoke with the victim and a report was taken.

 

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident with property damage

Stalking: An RP reported being stalked by a male she has had previous contact with. Investigation continues.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer located an adult female consuming alcohol near a vehicle in a city park.  She was issued a citation and released.

Nov. 8:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to vandalism at an E. Mesquite Blvd. park.

Theft from Vehicle: An officer took a report of the theft of two bicycles from a lock vehicle bike rack. The vehicle was parked in a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino parking lot overnight. Information was gathered and the crime is under investigation.

Theft: A report was taken of a stolen political sign front the front yard of a residence on Saw Grass Way.

Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to a local business regarding theft from vehicle.  Officer obtained information and a report was taken.

Domestic Violence IP: An officer responded to a Colleen Ct. residence; reference a verbal argument over the elections. Both parties were spoken to and agreed to stop arguing.

Theft: An officer took a report of missing/stolen prescription medication. Information was received and report competed.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to the intersection of Sandhill Boulevard and East First North on a traffic accident.  Officer issued both drivers citation.

Theft: An officer responded to a Casino for a report of theft that occurred while the reporting party was golfing. A report was taken and information is being gathered.

Stolen Vehicle: A stolen vehicle report was completed and entered into NCIC. The victim was provided a business card with the incident number attached.

Battery on Person: Officers responded to Hafen Lane reference a battery.  The incident was documented.

Nov. 9:

Theft from vehicle: An officer responded on a theft from vehicle report. The reporting party had left their vehicle unsecured.

Lost Property: Police took a report for a missing firearm.

Theft: Officer responded to a report of a theft at a W. Pioneer Blvd. store. After investigation one female subject was taken into custody for petit larceny, trespass violation and drug related charges.

Welfare Check: A welfare check was conducted at a Turtleback Rd. residence.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of damage to a street sign on W. Mesquite Blvd. Photographs were taken and the debris removed from the roadway.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a report of a motorist backing over the foot of a pedestrian on private property.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to an Emmarene St. residence reference a domestic dispute. No crime had occurred and both subjects agreed to separate.

Nov. 10:

Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.Fraud: Police took a report for fraudulent charges to a credit card.VIN Number Inspection: Officers responded to a local residence for a V.I.N inspection of two Off Highway Vehicles. Stolen Vehicle: An officer was dispatched to Grand Destinations for a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was discovered parked on top of the Highway on ramp. The owner was able to drive away.Hit & Run: Police took a report for a private property traffic accident. Nov. 11: Found Property: An officer was dispatched to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business parking lot, in reference to found property.Vandalism: Officer responded to vandalism at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. Casino security advised the damage would be charged to the room and the males trespassed. No citations were issued at security’s request.Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a local casino. Investigation is ongoing.Fraud: A report for credit card fraud was taken.Theft: Officer responded to a report of a theft from a W. Pioneer Blvd. department store. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded on a property damage accident. Vehicles were later driven away by the owners.Suspicious person: Officers were dispatched to a local convenience store’s parking lot, in reference to a suspicious person.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for local misdemeanor warrants after which controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found on his person.  This subject was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence on a report of possible domestic violence. Officers arrived and contacted all involved parties. No injuries or physical violence occurred. Nov. 12: Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was in possession of marijuana and was issued a citation.Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business on a report of theft.  Officer identified suspect and a citation was issued.Theft: An officer responded to Walmart for a report of the theft of merchandise. Information was gathered and a report taken.

Wanted person:  A male subject was placed under arrest for and active warrant. He was transported to the detention center where he was booked on the warrant.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to a Grapevine Rd. residence reference a stolen vehicle report. Suspect was identified and vehicle was recovered and returned to owner.
