Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 160 total incidents in the blotter:

Nov. 20:

Burglary: Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress on Mesquite Springs Dr. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

Fighting: Officers responded to a report of a fight in an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino parking lot. All involved parties were identified and interviewed. The involved subjects did not wish to pursue charges.

Theft: Officer responded to the Detention Center on a report of theft. The reporting party did not have sufficient information and stated he would call back when his family returned.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Accident report completed and forwarded to the city for repairs to electrical box. Driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.

 

Nov. 21:

Suspicious vehicle: While on patrol, officer observed a vehicle parked in the dark corner of a public park after park hours. The vehicle had two occupants. One of the occupants was a minor and was cited for curfew violation.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a stolen vehicle report. Report was taken and vehicle entered into NCIC. Attempts to locate vehicle are ongoing.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded a traffic accident with no injuries.

Fraud: Officers responded to the police station on a report of a fraud.

Attempt to Locate: Officers were dispatched to Interstate 15 in an attempt to locate a possible DUI driver. Upon arrival the officer located a vehicle matching the description given. The vehicle was stopped and at the conclusion of the investigation the driver was arrested.

Burglary: Officers were dispatched to an alarm activation on N. Sandhill Blvd. It was determined a crime had been committed and the investigation is ongoing.

 

Nov. 22:

Burglary: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business in reference to a burglary call. Upon arrival officers confirmed a burglary had taken place and detectives were contacted. The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary: An officer responded to a report of a burglary at a church on W. Pioneer Blvd and found that two churches in the area had been burglarized. The scenes were processed for evidence and the crimes are under investigations.

Theft: Officers responded to a report of stolen property on Hillside Dr.

Wanted person: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business after it was reported that a wanted person was in the store. The wanted person was taken into custody.

Lost Property: Officer took a telephone report of a lost cellphone. Information was obtained concerning the phone and a report completed.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Detectives recovered a stolen vehicle.

 

Nov. 23:

Animal Noise: Officer responded to a Concord Dr. residence reference an animal problem.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Mesquite officer responded to a Hillside Dr. residence in reference to vandalism. Information and evidence was gathered for further investigation.Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a Moss Dr. residence for a minor accident with no injuries. A driver’s exchange form was completed.Dead Body: An officer responded to a Quicksilver Way residence reference an agency assist with Mesquite Fire Department. Officers located an adult female who was deceased of what appeared to be of natural causes. The coroner’s office was contacted and the scene was released to them.Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Partridge Ln. residence for a property damage report.Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. department store for a report of a theft that had occurred. Officer took two subjects into custody for obstructing and misdemeanor warrants.

Nov. 24:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a Ken Ct. residence for a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party reported a suspicious male in her back yard. The male fled the area prior to law enforcement arriving. The investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on Riverside Rd. and Second South St. for a minor violation. Drugs and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle and the passenger was confirmed to have a warrant for her arrest. The male driver and female passenger were both arrested.

Trespassing: Mesquite officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino in reference to a trespass violation. The male suspect was located and arrested for trespassing.

Trespassing: Officer was called to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino for a trespass violator. The individual was issued a citation for trespassing and released with a court date.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a stolen vehicle. During the investigation a vehicle involved in the incident was recovered that was stolen out of another jurisdiction. Investigation is ongoing.

 

Nov. 25:

Fighting: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino in reference to a fight in progress. Two adult male subjects were taken into custody for breach of peace and obstructing a public officer. One adult male subject was also charged with adult/minor in consumption of alcohol.

Found Property: While investigating an incident at an E. Pioneer Blvd. business, an officer located methamphetamine under a garbage can. The methamphetamine was confiscated and booked into evidence.

Wanted person: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for a traffic offense on Hardy Way and Falcon Ridge Pkwy. The driver was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center for felony warrants.

Burglary: Officer took a residential burglary report on E. Old Mill Rd.

Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on W. Mesquite Blvd on a vehicle for using a cell phone while driving. The driver was arrested for open container and other traffic violations.

 

Nov. 26:

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: An officer conducted a traffic stop on Falcon Ridge Pkwy. on a vehicle he discovered to be stolen. Two male subjects were taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was notified.

Agency Assistance: An officer responded to a Casa Palmero Way residence to assist Fire and Rescue with a male who was not breathing. The male was found to be deceased and the Clark County Coroner was contacted.

Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a Monaco Cir. residence regarding a verbal argument. Officers spoke with both subjects who agreed to avoid each other the remainder of the day.

Burglary: An officer responded to a Hardy Way storage unit complex for a report of the theft of items from one of the units. A report was taken and theft is believed to be related an earlier theft. The report was forwarded to the Detectives for follow up.

Welfare Check: Officer responded to a call requesting a welfare check on an individual in a wheel chair. Officer contacted the male in question who did not need medical assistance.

DUI: Officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated adult female driver. After an investigation she was arrested for DUI.
