A Little bit of Broadway will be coming to Mesquite on Nov. 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.  Virgin Valley Theatre Group will be presenting a variety show, Mesquite on Broadway, starring a plethora of local talent. The show, directed by Larry LeMieux as a fund raiser for the theatre group, will be comprised of songs from a wide range of Broadway musicals.

There will be dance numbers including a Tango dance with nine couples to Hernando’s Hideaway and 42 St. will be performed by local favorites, The Mesquite Toes.  A children’s group will sing and dance to It’s the Hard Knock Life, from Annie. The Sun City Sounds will open the show with a rousing medley of Broadway tunes, and a Guys and Dolls segment complete with gangsters and the Save a Soul Salvation Band will give the audience some toe tapping fun.

There will be something for everyone, including songs from Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Frozen, Wicked, My Fair Lady, Pajama Game and more. So if you like the music of Broadway, don’t miss this one. Tickets are only $15 and are available at Danielle’s Chocolates, the Virgin Valley Art Gallery, The Chamber of Commerce and 1 hour prior to the performances at the Community Theatre Box Office at 150 N. Yucca St. in Mesquite.
