Zombies, ghouls, and goblins get ready for the 10th Annual Mesquite Police Department (MPD) Trunk or Treat festivities. The haunting and howling will begin on Monday, October 31st at 5:30 pm. Be in the line by 7:00 pm or you will be left out in the dark. This is the second year Mesquite Gaming has donated the use of the Casablanca Parking Garage for event.

In charge of Trunk or Treat this year, Detective Sgt. John Woods has selected a Zombie “Walking Dead” theme that “Won’t scare the little kids but will be fun for the adults.” Police and Mesquite Gaming employees will decorate the first floor of the parking garage that will then be filled with “Trunks” hosted by local businesses.

The Mesquite Police Volunteers will conduct traffic control at the event. This year, the line leading into the event will go around the sides of the parking structure and along the back property line. Several surprises are planned for trunk or treaters as the line moves toward the ultimate candy destination. Inside the event the children will find the “Batmobile” and will walk through an inflatable maze as they travel to the trunks.

As cute as their costume may be pets cannot be accommodated at this event so please leave them at home. As a reminder, all Police sponsored events are family focused, therefore alcohol and smoking will not be allowed anywhere on the event site.trunk-or-treat-event-map-2016
