Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 157 total incidents in the blotter:

Oct. 2:

Citizen Assist: An officer was flagged down by a citizen, who stated there had been an accident and a road sign was in the roadway on Pioneer Boulevard, near Redd Hills.  Upon arrival to the area, there were vehicles, but property damage was located to a street sign and the median.  A report was taken.

 

Found Property: Officer observed a bicycle which had been abandoned at the detention facility.

Officer placed the bike in safe keeping until it can be claimed.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a Madrigal Dr. neighborhood on a report of property damage.

Theft: Officers responded to a theft at a W. Pioneer Blvd. business.

TPO/Restraining Order/Subpoena: Officers served papers on a Larkspur Ln. resident without incident.

Theft: An officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of shoplifting. The offender was identified and issued a citation for the offense.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a child alone on Grapevine Rd.

Wanted Person: One adult male was arrested on Sun Valley Dr. for a warrant issued by Mesquite Municipal Court.

 

Oct. 3:

Fraud: An officer took a report of telephone fraud, caller claiming to be from IRS. The reporting party did send money and now wished to file a report.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer took a report concerning a parking ticket issued from another State on a vehicle the reporting party no longer owns.

Lost Property: Officer’s responded to a report of stolen property from a vehicle.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer took a telephone report, reference property damage to the landscape of a business on West Pioneer. Officer responded to the business and completed a report of property damage.

Wanted person: Officers responded to the jail after a man wanted to turn himself in on a warrant.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation.  The adult male driver was taken into custody for an active traffic arrest warrant from another jurisdiction.

Oct. 4:

Theft: Officers responded to a report of a theft from an Eagle St. residence yard. No suspect information.

Found Property: Property that was found left at the car wash, was turned in to police for safe keeping. Property placed into the vault, pending identification of owner.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Hafen Ln. residence reference a domestic disturbance. After the investigation, an adult male was arrested for domestic battery.

 

 

 

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Mesa Springs Dr. hotel room to take a report of a past domestic battery between a mother and an adult daughter. The investigation is still on going.

 

Oct. 5:

Stalking: Officer responded to the police department for a report of stalking. Officer took the report and one subject was found to be in violation of a court order.

Domestic Violence IP W/ Weapon: Officers responded to a Honeysuckle Ln. residence on a report of domestic violence. The female offender was located in the area and arrested for battery domestic violence. No injuries were reported.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. residence, in reference to a theft.

 

Oct. 6:

 

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a report of loud screaming, banging, and a car alarm at a

Mesa Blvd. residence.  One adult female was arrested for domestic battery and breach of peace.

Animal complaint: Officers responded to a citizen dispute at a Fountain View Ln. park.

Fraud: An officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference defrauding an inn keeper. Offender was cited and released for the offense.

Fraud: Officer responded to the Mesquite Detention Center for an inmate reporting fraudulent use of his credit card. Investigation is ongoing.

Found Property: Officer responded to a W. Hafen Ln. residence for a found property report. The property was booked.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Desert Dr.  residence on a report of a domestic dispute. All involved parties agreed to remain separated for the night to avoid further altercation. There was no reported violence.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver was cited and released for two traffic offenses and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Oct. 7:

 

Noise Disturbance: Officer responded to a Riverside Rd. residence on a noise complaint and determined no violation had occurred.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer observed two males in a Second South St.  park with alcohol. The males were issued citations for possession of alcohol in a park.

Trespassing IP: Officer observed an intoxicated male in roadway. Male crossed into an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino where he was previously trespassed. Male was arrested for trespass, intoxicated pedestrian in roadway, and breach of peace.

 

Oct. 8:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded on a suspicious situation on Saddle Way and Lasso St.

Wanted person: Officer responded to the Mesquite Detention Center for a report of a male subject with a warrant. The male was requesting to turn himself in. Subject was taken into custody for the warrant.Fire: Officers responded on a Bannock St. house fire. Officers assisted getting the occupants out of the residence.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a hit and run accident in the parking lot of an E. Pioneer Blvd casino. Witnesses identified the driver and vehicle leaving the scene and follow up is being done to locate the suspect.
