Sept. 10, 1900: Edward Bunker Sr. was ordained a Patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Sept. 10 1916: First group of automobiles leaves Los Angeles for a round trip to Salt Lake City and back on what was known as the Arrowhead Trail, the forerunner of Highway 91 and Interstate 15.

Sept. 9, 1999: Mesquite held its first economic development conference.

Sept. 8, 2002: CAT Bus System ends service to Mesquite and Bunkerville.
