September 1, 1911: Paul Miner becomes the first high school teacher in the Valley.

September 1, 1990: Virgin River opens.

September 1, 1998: Elks Lodge opens in Mesquite.

September 4, 1998: New bowling alley and Arcade opens at the Virgin River Casino.

September 5, 2002: Silver Rider Bus System begins service in Mesquite.

September 6, 1912: The telephone line was completed ten miles into the desert north of Littlefield.  Hubert Leavitt expects to say hello to central St. George by the 1st of October.

September 7, 1995:  Groundbreaking for Players Island Golf Course.
