Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 153 total incidents in the blotter:

Sept. 18:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Report of an alleged domestic disturbance on Sandbar St. Both parties have separated; one of the subjects involved had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival. Report was taken.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a suspended license plate. The adult female driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for two open containers of alcohol and a traffic offense.  She was arrested for a felony warrant out of Las Vegas Justice Court.

Citizen Assist: Officer responded to a report of children locked in a vehicle on Desert Winds Way; officer was able to safely open the vehicle.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer located a group of individuals in a park on Second South St. One adult male was consuming alcohol.  The male was cited and released for city code violation of having alcohol in the park.

Domestic Violence IP W/ Gun: Officers were dispatched to a Riverside Rd. residence for a report of male with a gun. The male was located and after a struggle the male was tased, treated for his injuries, and transported to the jail.

 

Sept. 19:

Theft: Officer responded to a report of a theft of services at a local RV park on Hillside Dr.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver of the vehicle to have a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: An officer took a telephone report of a stolen vehicle that was recovered in Arizona. Information was received concerning the vehicle and the vehicle owner was notified. A recovered vehicle report was completed.

Reckless Driver: Officer observed a vehicle drive over the curb and onto the trail system on W. Hafen Ln. Officer lost site of the vehicle at the river.

 

Sept. 20:

Driving under the influence: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation on N. Sandhill Blvd.; the adult female driver had been drinking alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested for DUI, open container, and traffic offenses.

Noise disturbance: Officers responded to a noise complaint at an apartment complex on Riverside Dr.

Found Property: Officers responded to Walmart on a report of a possible theft; the subject left the scene without her personal property.

 

Sept. 21:

Controlled Substance Problem: Male subject was taken into custody for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer responded to a report of a private property accident on Mesquite Springs Dr. A report was completed.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of found drug paraphernalia. The property was booked into evidence to be destroyed.

Domestic Trouble: Officer responded to a report of a domestic battery that occurred earlier in the day on Hardy Way. One adult female was arrested based on the investigation.

Weapon Offense: Officers responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. apartment complex on a report of a possible attempted robbery. After conducting interviews, it is undetermined if an attempted robbery actually occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

Mental Person: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence where an adult female was having psychiatric issues. She was voluntarily transported to the hospital for evaluation.

 

Sept. 22:

Wanted person: Officer made contact with an adult male with a felony warrant for his arrest; the warrant was confirmed and the male was arrested and booked into jail.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violation. A male passenger was found in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia. The passenger was issued citations for the illegal drugs and paraphernalia and the driver for traffic violations.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer issued citation to adult female for two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer responded on a suspicious situation. A report was taken.

Citizen Assist: A citizen requested a report from an officer. A report was created.

Found Property: An officer booked a found United Kingdom Driver License into the evidence vault.

Burglary: Officer responded to a report of a residential burglary on Calais Dr. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing IP: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. business on a report of trespassing. One adult male was arrested.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on N. Sandhill Blvd. The adult male driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a citation for these violations.

 

Sept. 23:

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a minor violation on I-15 N. bound; the driver of the vehicle was found in possession of marijuana. The driver was issued citations.

Civil Matter: A citizen filed a report regarding credit card activity. A report was taken regarding the civil incident.

Traffic accident W/O injury:  A report was taken for a private property accident.

Burglary: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business reference a theft incident. Several suspects stole numerous items and left the business prior to officer’s arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Sept. 24:

Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to a Megan Cir. residence, in reference to a domestic in progress.  After an investigation, it was determined to be a verbal dispute.

Person on Foot: An officer conducted an investigative stop on five intoxicated adults on Turtleback Rd. During the investigation one of the males obstructed the investigation and was arrested for breach of peace and obstruction of the investigation.

Traffic accident w/ damage: Officers responded on a single vehicle accident on Silver Rd. that resulted in property damage. A report was taken.

Phone Harassment: A citizen requested a report for harassment.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded for a report of an unlawful entry into a locked out residence on W. Mesquite Blvd.

Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. residence in reference to a possible domestic. After an investigation, the noise reported by the reporting person was determined to be from kids playing.
