Take Heed that no man deceives you!

This is based on Alinsky’s eight steps from democracy to socialist society.

Obama quotes him often in his book and Hillary did her thesis on Alinsky.

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist/communist State.  The first is the most important

1.  Healthcare: “Control Healthcare and you control the People”              DONE !!

2  Poverty:  Increase the Poverty level as high as possible.”  Poor People are easier to control and will not fight back if the government is providing everything for them to live.                            DONE!!!

3.  Debt: Increase the National Debt to an unsustainable level.”  That way you are able to increase Taxes, and this will produce more Poverty.                                                                                         DONE!!!

4.  Gun Control:  Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government.  That way you are able to create a Police State – total local control.                                                                    ALMOST THERE!!!

5.  Welfare:  Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Livestock, Housing, and Income).          DONE!!!

6.  Education:  Take control of what People read & listen to; take control of what Children learn in School.

7.  Religion: Remove faith in God from the Government and Schools.

8.  Class Warfare:  Divide the People into the Wealthy against the Poor.  Racially divide. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to Tax the Wealthy with full support of
the voting Poor.
DONE!!!   The bases are all covered!  We are ripe!     Esther Goodday   believe the Democrats President will nail  the coffin shut on the United States of America.

  1. Terry Donnelly says:

Oh my! I’m not sure where to begin, so I’ll start with the fact that Saul Alinsky was neither Socialist nor Communist. He joined no organization, even though he was a community organizer by trade. His was considered by many to be the model for modern community organizing. He started his work in Chicago slums trying to better the lives of those in poor neighborhoods–hence his connection with Barack Obama, in Chicago. He was definitely a radical. His work in the Sixties was cutting edge, raw, and the stuff of the young. Being a 1960s radical was hardly a newsworthy lifestyle. He influenced many politicians in the ways of organizing campaigns, notably, but not singularly, Richard Nixon. In 1972 Nixon, with a blueprint from Alinsky, organized a group that called themselves “ratfu…ers” who went to Democratic rallies and disrupted the meetings. Hillary Rodham did indeed do her senior thesis on Alinsky and got cooperation and interviews from him while doing research. I could make the point that college students do senior papers on the likes of Marx, Arnold, and Hitler and do not get swayed into their camp. I won’t do that, however, because Alinsky did influence the future Senator and Secretary of State with his command of getting results for needy causes. They remained friends after her thesis. He died in 1972, three years after Mrs. Clinton’s thesis, so has not been a physical presence for the likes of Ms. Goodday to fear for 44 years. He had no master plan leading to Communism or Socialism being strictly interested in bettering the lot of the underprivileged. For the record, Socialism is an economic platform used by Communism, but Karl Marx was about the only person to write of the two in the same sentence (I see Ms. Goodday has done so here, so I’m just wondering aloud about her connection to Marx). Many peace and freedom-loving countries use Socialism or social programs (the USA included) as part of their economic system. Readers may wish to vote against the Democratic ticket in this, or any other, election, but using Saul Alinsky as one of the reasons is folly. He was no angel, but neither was he the devil–he wasn’t even a Democrat!

  2. When you say socialist/communist state you lose all credibility with people who know the difference. If, as some ill-informed people do, you believe that they are the same or inevitably move from socialism to communism, you will have to tell Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, new Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Mexico, and all of the other economically advanced countries in the world that they are communists. I think they will strongly disagree.

    • No, im Canadian, I agree,, what we call ‘liberalism’ is definitely socialism. I checked with Lithuania, Bulgaria, china, poland, romania, latvia, lithuania, estonia, etc.. we know the reality.. total state control… forces violence and happiness, man is worth no more than a rat.. it’s all the same stuff.. the word games loses in reality

  3. I have googled Esther Goodday and have not found much information on her. I’m “assuming” she is not local, meaning not born or raised in Nevada or even the West. But I am curious as to why her column continues to appear in the Mesquite Local News. She clearly has a strong point of view but I’m wondering what is this newspaper’s agenda in continuing to print her dribble.

    • Teri Nehrenz says:

The MLN has absolutely no agenda other than allowing a columnist to state their opinion on the world and what’s happening in it. We have several columnists who write what some refer to as “dribble” but others find valuable or interesting. This type of publication is meant to evoke thought and conversation with no agenda other than that in mind. All columns are one’s own opinion or the opinion of those they quote as in the Alinsky article. Everybody is welcome to share their own opinions and join in the conversation as long as they keep it respectful. And of course Esther Goodday is a local who wishes, as many writers do, to use a pen name.

    • Terry Donnelly says:

Ginger: Esther Goodday may be a reference to the Bible book of Esther where Purim is discussed. Purim was celebrated by city Jews, so country and village Jews began celebrating the 14th day of Adar with food and presents. They often refer to it as a “good day”. Hence, at least a reference to Esther Goodday, but then again I may be reading a lot into this. Our Esther’s command and usage of English seems a bit sparse, and it makes me wonder if she, or he, would refer to such literature. A wild-eyed conservative and severe critic of my column used to post under the pseudonym “john jay” (lower case letters intended). As we all know John Jay was a founding father, and that would fit with an ultra conservative, but Mr. Jay was a flaming liberal. He was a Federalist and supported Hamilton. I doubt my john jay had that intention. We’ll never know unless they choose to reveal themselves.

  4. Mesquite Dave says:

Just got back from many of those Communist countries. The people seem very happy and have lots of money, especially in the Scandanavian countries. The standard of living is excellent. They seem much greener than the US as they actually walk and use bikes. I would move to Sweden in a second if ole Donald wins in November. Most of the Euros we talked to are flabbergasted that Trump actually has a chance to be elected. Of course, only Russia will invite him to visit. God save our country from the abyss.

  5. I love it when I hear people say they would move to this country or that country if Trump wins the election. If it were only so easy, I would give every one of you a celebratory good-bye party at the airport. Alas, it’s not so easy as many of these “preferable” countries have strict policies on who they admit into their country and many of you wouldn’t make the cut. So you are stuck, the same as those of us that will mourn the state of country even more should Hillary win.

As to Alinsky, the point of his motivation or political agenda (or lack of) is irrelevant. The point is that those 8 criteria listed above have taken place, or are taking place today and the result is the same. I’m not a lover of Trump by any means, but those of you thinking Queen Hillary is the answer to this countries problems, are at best, naïve and at worst, delusional.

  6. In 1944 Norman Mattoon Thomas declared:

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. I need no longer run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.”

Margaret Thatcher once stated: “Socialism is wonderful until the government runs out of the people’s money.”

When was the last time you looked at the National Debt Clock? We are approaching $20 TRILLION and will probably be there by November. This is an unsustainable financial debt, never to be repaid. This will affect 2-3 generations before any of this can start to be slowly turned around. In 1776, our country voted for freedom from bondage to a ruler, ruling country. We are in the complacency stage headed back into bondage – a mere three steps. We won’t live that long to see it, experience it but our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their generations will.

    • Terry Donnelly says:

Our current national debt has nothing to do with Socialism. It has a lot to do with perpetual war for which there is no budget.

  7. Paul Cook says:

You are either blind or developmentally challenged. Hello? Government control (regulation) of everything.
