Police Blotter Aug. 14-20, 2016
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 143 total incidents in the blotter:

Aug. 14:
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a Canal St. residence for a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival it was determined that the female half of the altercation was the aggressor. She was arrested for battery domestic violence and booked without incident.
Trespassing:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator. An intoxicated adult male was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officer were dispatched to a Riverside Rd.  residence, in reference to a possible domestic.  After an investigation, it was determined that the subjects who were involved were highly intoxicated and just talking very loudly.
Disorderly Conduct:  Officer responded to the Virgin River on a report of disorderly.  Upon arrival officer met with an adult male and female in the men’s room.  Male party was cited for breach of peace.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant.

Hit & Run: An Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino parking lot and took a report of a hit and run accident.
Theft: Officer responded to a Waterfall Ct. residence regarding theft from a motor vehicle. Officer obtained descriptive information and serial number of the missing item and a report was taken.
Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a report of a verbal domestic dispute on Sage Way.  Upon arrival officers spoke with the parties still on scene.

Aug. 15:

Theft: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino regarding a theft.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An Officer took a report concerning a civil dispute between neighbors on Casa Grande Cir. The dispute was reported as a matter of record.
Theft from Vehicle: An Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino parking lot, reference the theft of a tail gate from a truck parked in the parking lot. Evidence was collected and a report completed.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop, the driver was found to have an active warrant.
Welfare Check:  Officers responded on a medical assist at a Pulispher Ln. bus stop.
Civil Matter: An Officer took a report concerning a civil matter involving a property
management company.
Theft: Officer spoke with a visitor who reported medications being stolen while staying in Mesquite.  Officer obtained all information and a report was taken.
Fraud: Officers responded to a report of fraud at a W. Mesquite Blvd. bank.

Aug. 16:

Civil Matter:  Officer responded to the Virgin River Hotel on a reported theft of property. Officer spoke with the guest who compensated the hotel for the property.
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident on Rivers Bend Dr. and Milky Way Dr.
Recovered Stolen Property:  Stolen property was recovered and placed in evidence at an outside agency.
Wanted Person: Male subject was taken into custody for an active warrant.

Aug. 17:

Theft: An officer was dispatched to an Ironwood Dr. residence, in reference to a fraud.
Trespassing IP:  An officer was dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. casino, in reference to a trespass violator.  An intoxicated adult male subject was cited and released for trespassing.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a follow up investigation.  While at the casino property, an officer made contact with an intoxicated adult male subject who was involved in a previous trespassing incident.  This subject was attempting to start his vehicle, which was equipped with an alcohol interlock device.  This subject was taken into custody for trespassing.
Aug. 18:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business for a report of damage to property. A male suspect was located and taken in custody for Damage to Property.
Suspicious/Person:  Officer responded to a Sun Valley Dr. apartment complex for a report of a male individual damaging vehicles. Officers made contact with the male and he was taken into custody.
Traffic accident W/O injury:   Officer responded to a report of a vehicle accident with no injuries. A report was taken.
Lost Property: An Officer took a report for lost/stolen/ missing property.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Police took a report for a possible identity theft.
Abuse/Neglect: Officer took a phone call of an alleged report of Adult Abuse and Neglect. A
report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
Found Property: A citizen turned over a purse they had found near their residence.  After
identifying and locating the owner of the purse; the adult female was arrested for an outstanding Mesquite Municipal Court warrant.

Aug 19:

Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence reference a noise complaint.
Theft from Vehicle:   Officers responded to a business reference a theft from a motor vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle: An Officer responded for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. A report was taken. No evidence or witnesses.
Suicidal Person: An Officer responded for a report of a possible suicide attempt. The caller
stated a female subject had taken a handful of pills with alcohol.
Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle in a parking lot. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Suicide: Officers responded on a suicide. An investigation was started.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officer responded to a report of traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of W. Pioneer Blvd and Grapevine R. Officer completed accident report and issued at fault driver a citation.
Burglary: An officer was dispatched to a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence, in reference to a burglary.
Theft from Vehicle: Officers responded to a residence in reference to a theft from their motor vehicles. The investigation is ongoing.
Person On Foot: An Officer observed an intoxicated adult male stumbling in the middle of Thistle Street.  The male was issued a citation.
Assault IP: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, in reference to a possible assault.  After an investigation, it was determined that the reporting person, who was extremely intoxicated, had fallen and scraped his elbow and had not been battered by anybody.
Animal Noise: Officers responded to a Concord Dr. residence reference an animal problem. An information report was completed.

Aug. 20:

Weapon Offense: Officer were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. local fast food restaurant, in reference to an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance in the drive through.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
Person on Foot: An Officer attempted to contact an intoxicated adult male on Pulsipher Ln.  The male attempted to flee from the Officer, but was taken into custody for being intoxicated in the roadway.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a roadway reference a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with an adult female and officers determined no crime occurred.
Lost Property: An Officer took a telephone report of lost property. Reporting party reported a lost suit case and its contents.
Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a theft at a Pulispher Ln.  apartment complex.
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Police responded to answer questions regarding a civil dispute.
Suspicious person: Officer was advised by hospital staff regarding an individual attempting to fraudulently obtain medications.  Officers attempted to locate the subject who had left the area prior to arrival.
Civil Matter: Officers responded to a damage property report in the parking lot of a Sun Valley Dr. apartment complex.
Disorderly Conduct: An Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. business for a report of an disorderly male. The male was located and arrested for giving false information. During booking, the male was found to have illegal drugs.
Fighting IP: Officer responded to a fight between neighbors on Goldenrod Ln.
