Jingling bells could be heard throughout the halls of Highland Manor on July 27 as Santa’s helpers from Colonial Property Management decked the residents with new, wearable duds and personal items. There was even a stuffed animal and a puzzle or two thrown into the festive boxes that each of the residents received for the Christmas in July celebration sponsored each year by Colonial Property Management.

Months of preparation go into making sure each resident receives gift items that are personal and needed. Staff at Colonial work closely with the Highland Manor staff to take stock of what residents need and what they enjoy. Each resident received a gift box especially designed for them.

Of course there would be no Christmas celebration without a visit from the jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus. This year, like every other year, Santa brought along Mrs. Claus to cheer the Manor residents; after all, they are the Claus’ favorite kids.

The celebration lasted just a short time; temperatures were high and the reindeer wanted the cooler temperatures of the North Pole, but the good cheer and warm feelings brought to the manor by Colonial Property Management staff will last a lifetime for these very special recipients.
