LE VAN GETS BETTER OF YEH AT SAND HOLLOW
Was it the fact that Andrew Yeh was playing 900yds further back at the back tees or that Paul LeVan played two under par for his last eight holes with birdies on the par three 11th and 13th. I think the latter. Yeh had him by six shots after nine as LeVan struggled through the first six holes. But that great run of eight holes sealed the victory for LeVan as Yeh shot eight over par on the same holes that LeVan had h is hot streak. LeVan took medalist honors with his 79 while Yeh had to settle for 82 and Russ Clark came in third with his 85. The shot of the day was by Ben Bishop on the 18th hole as he out drove Bubba Petrick by almost five feet. Bishop also had bragging rights by earning two of the only three skins of the day.
