Smoke from wildfires primarily west of Mesquite continue to fill the air. A small 400-acre wildfire in Lovell Canyon near Las Vegas is the nearest threat to the Virgin Valley. However, fires in California have contributed to the congestion. Two wildfires continue to burn northeast of Mesquite between St. George and Cedar City, Utah.

While there are slight chances of monsoonal rains in the forecast, normal temperatures will continue in the 110-degree range.
