Police Blotter May 29-June 4, 2016
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 163 total incidents in the blotter:

May 29:
Burglary: Officers responded to a residential alarm on S. Arrowhead Dr. and discovered a burglary had occurred. Detectives were notified and the investigation is ongoing.
Burglary: Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business regarding a reported burglary. Upon arrival officers discovered unknown person(s) had forced entry into the store and had taken merchandise/cash.  Detectives were called to the scene and the investigation continues.
Found Property: A laptop computer was found on the side of the roadway and turned in to Police for safe keeping.
Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a West Pioneer business parking lot for a report of a vehicle accident involving a single vehicle and parking lot wall.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. gas station on a report of a property damage accident involving two trucks. Both drivers exchanged insurance information and a report was taken.
Disorderly Conduct: An officer witnessed an adult male being disorderly at the scene of a traffic accident. The male was contacted and refused to cooperate with the investigation and was taken into custody.
Theft from Vehicle: An officer responded to a Burns Ln. residence and took a report of a stolen license plate from a vehicle while parked at a work location.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of an ATM being damaged on W. Mesquite Blvd. Contact was made with the owner and the investigation is ongoing.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a disorderly male knocking on doors on Peartree Dr. and yelling obscenities. One adult male was arrested for felony drug charges, battery on a police officer and more based on the investigation.

May 30:
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Milky Way residence regarding property damage. Officer spoke to the victim and suspected offender and a report was taken.
Assault IP: Officers responded to a Campfire Ln. residence to answer questions about their guardianship of a young adult.  Officers answered questions and a report was generated as a matter of record.
Intoxicated Person: An officer made contact with a male who was later arrested for intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. business complex on a report of vandalism. Information was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

May 31:
Assault IP: Altercation became physical between neighbors on Fairways Dr. over a verbal agreement about fixing a vehicle.
Truancy: Mesquite Officer responded to a W. Hafen Ln. school reference a truant student.
Agency Assistance: Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance/agency assist; the investigation continues.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officer responded to a traffic accident on Sea Pines St. with possible injuries.
Vehicle:  Officer responded to a Sea Pines St. residence and spoke with victim who had a utility trailer stolen from a storage lot.  Officer obtained trailer information and a report was taken.
Traffic Stop: Detectives arrested a male who had a felony warrant out of Clark County Justice court.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a report of property damage at a commercial property on W. Mesquite Blvd.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to the Mesquite Library parking lot reference a suspicious situation in which a male was sitting in his vehicle throwing up. Upon arrival officers found a male acting suspicious as described. Investigation revealed the driver was DUI.

June 1:
Wanted person: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a wanted subject. The subject was located and warrants were confirmed. The subject was taken into custody without incident.
Recovered Stolen Property: An officer responded for a report of recovered property at a pawn shop.
Domestic Trouble:  Officer responded to the Justice Facility for a report of a domestic violence incident that had occurred earlier in the day. Report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the offender.
Domestic Trouble: An officer took a report of an alleged domestic battery on Moss Dr. The report was submitted to the city attorney for possible charges.
Theft: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. store for a report of a theft. After investigation one subject was issued a citation for petit larceny and released with a court date.
Stolen Vehicle: Detectives were informed of an abandoned box style utility trailer at mile marker 80 on Interstate 15. Detectives took report and the property was returned to the owners.
Wanted person: Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. hotel for a report of a wanted person. The officers contacted the wanted male and placed him under arrest. The investigation revealed the male and an additional female were in possession of controlled substances. The male was also in possession of a forged driver’s license. Both were arrested for multiple charges.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. The adult male driver had an active warrant for his arrest. Upon search incident to arrest, officers located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and other contraband.

June 2:
Traffic Stop: Female was located and arrested for an outstanding Bench Warrant and traffic offenses.

June 3:
Noise Disturbance:  Officers responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. apartment for a noise complaint. Upon arrival officers discovered 4 juveniles and 2 subjects under the age of 21 had consumed and were in possession of alcohol. All six subjects were issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol. The juveniles were released to their parents.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Responded to a report of broken lights on the travel path around Desert Rose Park.
Welfare Check: Officer responded to a report of a welfare check. Officer was unable to make contact, family was notified.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a car wash on W. Pioneer Blvd. in reference to damage to a coin machine. A report was taken.
Theft: Officers were dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business for a report of a theft. The offenders had left the business prior to officer’s arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration on W. Mesquite Blvd. Upon contacting the driver, the officer located several open containers of alcohol. The female driver was issued a citation for open container and expired registration. Field sobriety tests were conducted but were inconclusive.
Minor Gambling: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for an ID check of a male subject. Officers contacted the male subject and issued him a citation for minor gambling.

June 4:
Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer conducted an investigative stop on four juveniles at a park on Second South St. The juveniles were in possession of and had been consuming alcohol. Two of the juveniles were also in possession of drug paraphernalia. The juveniles were issued citations and released to their guardians.
Theft: Officers responded to a local business for a report of a theft. The male offender was located and issued a citation for petit larceny.
Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a two vehicle traffic collision on Hillside Dr. and N. Sandhill Blvd. Reports were completed.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a report of a private property accident. Officer took photographs and completed a driver’s exchange form.
Lost Property: Police took a report for a lost wallet.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a domestic battery on Prosperity Ln. in progress. One adult male was arrested for domestic battery.
