Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 167 total incidents in the blotter:

June 12:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers took a report of an incident involving a warning shot. The report was completed and forwarded to the city attorney for review.
Theft: Officer responded to a theft at a N. Sandhill Blvd. business. A report was taken.
Agency Assistance: Officers responded to an agency assist on Pinehurst Dr. regarding a death of natural causes.
Agency Assistance: Officers responded to an Aztec Circle apartment complex on a medical assist for the Fire Department.

June 13:

Stolen Vehicle: Officers contacted a suspicious female outside a W. Mesquite Blvd. gas station. At the conclusion of the investigation the female was arrested for possession of schedule one and two substances and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Wanted Person: Officers responded to the justice facility after a woman arrived to turn herself in on a warrant.
Stolen Vehicle: An officer took a report of a vehicle stolen from a Mesa Blvd. casino parking lot. Information was obtained and a report was taken.
Traffic Stop: During a traffic stop on Hillside Dr. Officer discovered the male driver of the vehicle to have a warrant. The driver was arrested for the warrant.
Theft from Vehicle: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business on a report of a theft.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A vehicle reported stolen from Las Vegas was recovered in Mesquite. Las Vegas Police was notified for notification of the vehicle owner.
Controlled Substance Problem: Detectives cited and released male for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia on Grapevine Dr.
Identification Check: Officer responded to E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a minor gambling. The minor was identified, cited, and released with a court date.
Wanted Person: Detectives arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a Vista Del Monte Dr. residence reference a theft call. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a West Pioneer Business for a report of an attempted break-in at the store. Information was obtained and a report taken.

June 14:

Theft: Officers responded to a possible theft on Topaz Ln. officers were able to find the items in question and return them to the owner.
Trespassing IP: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd.  apartment complex where the property management read a female subject the trespass warning. The female left property without incident.
Minor Gambling: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. local casino regarding an identification verification for an unidentified male.  Upon contact the officer determined the male was underage and was taken into custody.
Trespassing IP: An officer responded to a report of trespassing on private property on Flat Top Mesa Dr. The involved parties were identified and trespassed by the property manager.
Citizen Dispute: Officer responded to a report of an assault at a N. Sandhill Blvd. business.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a report of a damaged vehicle parked on Joshua Dr.
Trespassing IP: Female subject who had been trespassed from private property earlier in the day, returned and was arrested for trespassing.
Wanted Person: Officers responded to an El Dorado Rd. casino parking lot reference a suspicious male sleeping in his car. Officers located and identified the suspicious male. The male was arrested on an active bench warrant issued out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.

June 15:

Background Investigation: An officer conducted a background check on a business license applicant.
Wanted Person: Detectives arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: An Officer responded to a Riverside Rd. property accident involving a child struck by a vehicle backing up. The driver was discovered to be intoxicated.
Threatening: Officers responded to a Joshua Dr. residence reference a threat made by an ex-boyfriend.  A report was taken.

June 16:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer responded to a report of found property, located by a city bench near W. Pioneer Blvd. and Falcon Ridge Pkwy. Officer took custody of the bag and secured for safe keeping.
Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to a report of a stolen trailer. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Recovered Stolen Property: Officer was contacted by Cedar City Police reference a stolen item that was pawned in Mesquite. Officer booked the item into evidence and contacted Cedar City Police Department.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd.  casino parking lot in reference to a property damage call.
Graffiti: An officer responded to the Desert Rose Park reference graffiti.  A report was taken and graffiti markings photographed.

June 17:

Assault IP: Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. casino in reference to a battery.  An adult male subject was cited and released for battery.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Mesquite Blvd. on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries. An accident report was taken.
Theft: An officer responded to the police department to take a stolen property report.
Fraud: An individual came to the police department to report a theft of property and identification. A report was taken.
Theft: An individual came to the police department to report a theft of property from a residence. A report was taken.
Lost Property: An officer responded to an E. Mesquite Blvd. residence for a report of a lost wallet.
Driving Under the Influence: Officers responded to a traffic accident on private property on E. Pioneer Blvd. An adult female subject was taken into custody for DUI-alcohol (1st offense).
Disturbing the Peace/Fighting: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd.  nightclub for a report of a fight in progress. Two male offenders fled the area prior to officer’s arrival. There were no reported injuries and no information about the offenders.

June 18:

Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a report of a male subject who was trespassing. Officers contacted the male and confirmed he had previously been given the trespass warning. The male was issued a citation and he left the property.
Suspicious/Person: Officers responded to a suspicious persons call at a W. Mesquite Blvd.  business. One of the suspects was located leaving the area driving a vehicle and was detained. Upon further investigation this adult male was arrested for a felony warrant for trafficking a controlled substance. The male was also arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and traffic offenses. The second adult male was located at the business and was arrested for trafficking heroin, possession drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a single vehicle non-injury traffic accident on Oasis Blvd. The adult female driver was issued a citation.
Identification Check: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to an ID Check.  An adult male subject, who was under 21 years old, was cited for minor gambling.
