Free event will be held on Independence Day for the fifth year in a row.

Eureka Casino Resort is proud to continue the tradition of “Rockets Over the Red Mesa” on Monday, July 4. This being the year that America’s most famous crooner would have turned 100, Eureka thought it only fitting to celebrate the Sinatra Centennial in Style. The Nevada POPS Orchestra, backed with a full 32-piece orchestra and vocalist Steve Lippia, will be performing with a touch of Sinatra and music that crosses the generations. Lippia has been delighting sold-out symphony audiences across North America and is considered the “Singers Singer.”

“The Eureka Community Initiative is thrilled to bring a Sinatra flare to this year’s festivities. Fireworks, Sinatra, and an orchestra the size of the Nevada Pops is the perfect combination to celebrate America’s independence. We feel this will be our best year yet.” said Greg Lee, President of Eureka Casino.

The free event will begin at 6 p.m. with a community vendor village and DJ. The celebration continues with a live performance from the Nevada POPS Orchestra at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. The orchestra will accompany the fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day in true American style.

Eureka’s own Town Square will be hosting a Great American Backyard BBQ themed Buffet from 4 – 7 p.m. featuring BBQ Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Hamburgers, sweet corn on the cob and more. This is a family friendly event and everyone is invited to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs to the viewing area which will be set up behind the Eureka Casino Resort.
