The VVHS Lady Bulldogs traveled to TECH Thursday afternoon, April 28 to face the Roadrunners in an important 1-A Sunrise League game. The Bulldogs and Roadrunners were tied at 6-5 with fourth place and the final playoff spot on the line.
The Dawgs had no answer for TECH pitcher E. Cascos who struck out nine Bulldogs on her way to a no-hitter and a 11-0 Roadrunner whitewashing. The Roadrunners scored two in the first, five in the third and put the game out of reach with four runs in the fourth to end the game after five innings of play. The Lady Dawgs finish the season traveling to Del Sol on May 5. Meanwhile TECH hosts second place Moapa Valley and travels to Chaparral. The Bulldogs need to win their games while the Roadrunners need to lose to give the Dawgs an undisputed hold on fourth place in Sunrise league standings.
