Rollover closes northbound ramp

SRollover-5-26-16-02hortly after 9 a.m. May 24, a single driver of a double-trailer semi-truck hauling asphalt rolled his vehicle when trying to enter mile marker 120 northbound onramp to Interstate 15 from westbound Mesquite Boulevard. Preliminary statements from officials on scene could not determine if speed was a factor to the incident.

Mesquite Fire Rescue, Mesquite Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol and Arizona Department of Transportation were on scene within minutes. There was no fire and while the driver didn’t sustain any injuries, he was able to assist in cleaning up the asphalt and small oil spill.

The incident closed access to the ramp for approximately four hours while equipment was brought in to bring the truck upright and the spills and materials could be contained.
