Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 166 total incidents in the blotter:

May 8:

Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers were dispatched to a Desert Winds Way residence, in reference to a possible suicidal person.  Upon arrival, this subject denied being suicidal and stated she called the police because she was depressed about her companion, who recently died.  Upon further investigation, it was determined the reporting person and her sister had been in a verbal argument.  The reporting person stated she did not want to go to the hospital and she did not need medical attention.
Runaway Juvenile: Officer responded to a E. First North St. apartment complex where a father was unable to locate his teenage daughter. Officers located her and brought her home.
Hit & Run:  Officer responded and took a report of a hit and run accident on private property.

May 9:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer responded to a suspicious call in a Vista Dr. neighborhood. After an investigation extra patrol was requested by the reporting party.
Wanted Person:  Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference an intoxicated male. The male was identified and arrested on unrelated traffic warrants.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  An officer responded to a two vehicle, no injury accident on West Old Mill Road. An accident report was completed and citation issued to the at-fault driver.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Mesquite officer responded to a local high school reference a suspicious circumstance. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft:  Officers responded to the home of a Condor St. residence on a report of a theft.
Juvenile Problem:  Mesquite officer responded to a local high school reference a juvenile problem.
Found Property:  Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. apartment complex to pick up found property.
Reckless Driver: Officers responded to a reckless driver in a residential zone on Bannock St.
Lost Property:  An officer took a report of a lost cell phone.
Suspicious/Person:  Officer responded to a local business on a report of a suspicious person.  Upon arrival officer spoke to the adult male regarding loitering.  Business read the trespass warning and the subject left the area.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle:  An officer took a telephone report of a vehicle stolen out of Mesquite and recovered in California. Information received and report completed.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  Officer responded to a report of an accident that occurred earlier in the day. Information was gathered and follow up is being conducted.
Animal Noise:  Officers responded to a complaint of an animal barking. Written statements were gathered and the complainant signed a citation against the owner of the animal.
May 10:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officers responded to a Sun Valley Dr. apartment complex on a report of damaged property with no suspect information.
Theft:  Officers responded to a theft at a Hafen Ln. park.
Threatening: Citizens reported a suspicious phone call to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business. An adult male was located and issued a citation for making threatening statements.
Theft:  Police received a report of stolen property from a Parkview Dr. residence. The stolen property was entered as stolen, and an officer’s report was completed.
Traffic Stop:  Male arrested after being pulled over for speeding on Interstate 15.
Theft:  An officer took a report for theft of a firearm. The weapon was entered into the national data system as stolen. The suspect has been identified and attempts to contact him are ongoing.
Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to a trespass at a Mesa Blvd. casino. One adult male was arrested for trespassing and breach of peace.
Theft from Vehicle:  Officer responded to a Desert Dr. residence on a report of theft from a motor vehicle. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

May 11:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officers were dispatched to a possible battery in progress. It was determined there was no evidence of a battery, but an intoxicated female had just fallen
down.
Found Property:  A citizen turned in a found wallet.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  An officer responded to the police department for a report of a private property accident that had occurred earlier in the day. Information was exchanged.
Hit & Run:  Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence for a report of a hit and run on a parked vehicle. There were no witnesses and there are currently no leads for the offender vehicle.
Intoxicated Person:  Officers responded to a Bertha Howe Ave. medical facility for a report of a possible domestic dispute. A male and a female were contacted and interviewed. It was determined that no violence had occurred recently between both involved parties.

May 12:

Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers responded on a verbal domestic on Springdale Ln. that was an attempted suicide.
Fraud:  An officer responded to the front lobby of the police department to speak with a
citizen who felt someone was trying to defrauded her. On further investigation
she had been. No money had been exchanged.
Truancy:  Mesquite officer responded to a local high school reference a truant student.
Stolen Vehicle:  Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Theft:  An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department for a report of credit card theft.
Domestic Violence IP W/ Gun:  Officers were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a domestic battery on Second South St.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery (2nd offense) and two weapon offenses.

May 13:

Person On Foot: Police arrested one adult male for crossing a roadway while intoxicated.
Theft from Vehicle:  Officer took a report of a theft of a battery from a vehicle on Lime Wood St.
Fraud:  Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. residence for a report of fraud over a computer. A report was taken.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle:  Officers responded to a Prosperity Ln. neighborhood reference a recovered stolen vehicle incident. A vehicle which had previously been stolen in Mesquite, was recovered and returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing.
Robbery IP W/ Gun:  Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business on a report of a robbery with a firearm. All witnesses were interviewed and evidence was collected. The investigation is ongoing.
Controlled Substance Problem:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver of the vehicle was cited and released for driving without headlamps when required, possession of marijuana <1 ounce (2nd offense), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Suspicious/Vehicle:  Officers responded to a Pheasant Dr. residence for a report of vandalism to a vehicle.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers were dispatched to a Riverside Rd. apartment complex, in reference to a domestic in progress.  After interviewing the female subject who was involved in the incident, it was determined that it was a verbal argument.

May 14:

Weapon Offense IP:   Officers responded to a call about a male subject with guns, on an upper walkway in front of an apartment unit on Mesa Blvd. Officers contacted the male and determined him to be under the influence of alcohol. The male was arrested without incident for possessing a firearm while intoxicated.
Found Property:  Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business on a call of found property.
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Dr. with a vehicle, the driver was arrested for DUI and related offenses.
Trespassing IP:  Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a possible wanted person.  Upon arrival officer discovered the wanted party had already left property however, officer witnessed security trespass an adult male.
Theft:  Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business regarding a theft that just occurred.
Reckless Driver:  An officer took a report of a reckless driver on I-15. The reported vehicle was located and a citation was issued.
