Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 175 total incidents in the blotter:

April 25:

Theft:  Officers responded to the Mesquite Detention Center to take a theft report, no suspect information is available.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. apartment complex on a suspicious person call and located two subjects with warrants. Both subjects were taken into custody.
Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business on a report of shoplifting, the investigation is ongoing.
Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to the police department lobby on a reported theft from a vehicle.  Officer obtained all necessary information from the victim and a report was generated.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a traffic accident on Reber Dr. with possible injuries.
Theft: An Officer took a report of the theft of some items from a utility trailer stored at a storage yard on Riverside Road.
Lost Property: Citizen walked in to the Police Department and reported he had lost his wife’s wedding ring. Information was taken for matter of record.
Suspicious/Person: While on routine patrol an officer observed and stopped a crime in progress. The suspect(s) was not apprehended and fled the scene leaving the stolen property behind.
April 26:

Stolen Vehicle: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Dr. construction site on a theft of a trailer and various tools.  Officer obtained statements and photos and the case will be forwarded to detectives.
Threatening: An officer responded to a Kitty Hawk Dr. residence and took a report of verbal threats being made.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to an accident in the roundabout at Falcon Ridge and Mesquite Blvd.
Fraud: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. bank on a report of a fraud.
Theft: An Officer responded to the Police Department and took a report of the theft of a trailer from a storage facility. Crime is under investigation.
Theft: Officer contacted a local resident regarding property removed from his storage unit.  Officer obtained details of the incident and report was generated.
Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to a verbal dispute at a N. Grapevine Rd. apartment complex.
Theft: An officer took a report of two incidents of theft, committed by the same person on different dates. Information received and under investigation.
Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic offense. Investigation revealed a passenger had an open container of alcohol. Passenger was cited and released with a court date.

April 27:

Truancy: Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Citizen Assist: Officer responded to a report of an accident between a bicycle and a vehicle on Mesa Blvd. There was no evidence to support the incident.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded for a domestic in progress on W. Mesquite Blvd. During the investigation several subjects were arrested.
Wanted Person: An officer responded to a suspicious incident on W. Hafen Ln. Upon investigation one adult male was arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant.
Animal Noise:  An officer was dispatched to a Piute St. residence, reference a noise complaint. The reporting person contacted the police in reference to the neighbor’s dogs barking.  The reporting person signed a citation against the owner of the dogs who was later cited and released for animal nuisance/noise.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  An officer was dispatched to a Paintbrush Way address in reference to a minor traffic accident.

April 28:

Stolen Property:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference stolen property.
Citizen Assist: Officer took a telephone report regarding alleged vehicle damage while parked on a private property on Mayan Circle within the city limits.
Suicide: Officers responded with fire and rescue on a possible unattended death on Pulsipher Ln. Upon arrival it was determined the deceased had committed suicide.
Agency Assistance: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino to assist medical personnel with a male subject who was possibly suicidal and combative.  Officers found the subject to be calm and not suicidal.  Medical personnel then made contact with the male and confirmed he was not in need of medical attention.
Theft: An officer took an initial report of a theft of electronic equipment from a Riverside Rd. storage rental facility.  The officer completed an initial report and compiled all necessary information to forward to the Investigative Services Division.
Fraud: Officers responded to a Fairways Dr. residence reference a credit card fraud report. Information was gathered and a police report was completed.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Pioneer Blvd.  The male adult driver had one active Mesquite Municipal Court warrant.  He was taken into custody for the warrant and drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on W. Mesquite Blvd. for a traffic offense.  The driver, who has an active warrant out of Las Vegas, was taken into custody for a traffic offense.

April 29:

Graffiti: An Officer responded on a graffiti report on Riverside Rd. Photographs were taken and the incident was documented.
Citizen Assist: Officer spoke with a citizen reference a suspicious incident. A report was filed.
Graffiti: An Officer responded for a report of graffiti at a gas station on Sandhill Blvd. A report was completed.
Battery on Person: Officers responded to a W. Hafen Ln. residence reference a battery.  After an investigation, one adult female was cited and released for battery and one adult male was cited and released for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

April 30:

Trespassing IP: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a trespass violator.  An adult female subject was cited and released for trespassing.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a report of a battery on W. Mesquite Blvd.  A report was taken to document the incident.
Hit & Run: An officer was dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. casino parking lot in reference to a hit and run accident.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a disturbance, one female was transported to jail for multiple charges.
Found Property: An Officer responded to the Police Department for an I.D card that was found and turned in. The I.D was placed into safe keeping at the evidence vault.
Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Dr. which resulted in an arrest for drug paraphernalia.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a disturbance, one female was transported to jail for multiple charges.

May 1:

Disorderly Conduct IP: Officers were dispatched to a Sunflower Way residence regarding a female screaming in the roadway and pounding on houses in the neighborhood. The female was later arrested and booked into jail for breach of peace.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Dr. business on a report of property damage.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer took a report of damage to a street sign located on West Pioneer.
Noise Disturbance: Officer responded to a W. Hafen Ln. location complaint about loud music. It was determined not to be in violation of the city code. Nothing further to report.
Agency Assistance: An officer responded to a request for assistance from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver in a parking lot on Sun Valley Dr. Reporting party believed a vehicle struck another and both parties left but no accident was actually observed and no victims have reported the incident.
Driving Under the Influence: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male drinking alcohol in his vehicle on N. Sandhill Blvd. One adult male was arrested and transported to jail for charges related to DUI.
