Mesquite Fire & Rescue submits the following call statistics for the week of 5/9/16 through 5/15/2016:

Total Calls For Service: 49*
911 Transports: 19
Non Transports: 14
Inter-facility Transports: 15
Fire Related Incidents: 2

FIRE LOG:

5/11/16
• C-Shift assisted Mesquite Police with the “Every 15 minutes” demonstration.  T-31, R-11, R-31 performed extrication and transported two “patients” to the hospital.

5/12/16
• R-12 generated a call for a smoke investigation while assisting R-11 on an EMS call at the Smokey Lane Condos.  Crew noticed a strong burning smell in the area.  Checked entire building with no source identified and smell dissipated.

5/14/16
• E-11, T-11, R-31, E-31, Chief 2, Beaver Dam E-23, Bunkerville Sq-71, WT-71  Responded to the Virgin River behind the Hughes Middle School for a report of a Brush Fire.  Fire was in an inaccessible area and was not a current threat to any structures or property.  Mesquite Fire units maintained a presence on the Mesquite side of the river in case any property became threatened.  Fire resources from Beaver Dam and Bunkerville staged on the Bunkerville side of the river, but it was determined that with darkness and difficult terrain, the fire would be monitored until arrival of BLM units.  Scene was released to BLM when they arrived.

Non Transports include: Patient refusals, lift assists, patient deceased at scene, no patient found, no incident found, Incidents handled by other agencies.
*Call totals do not always add up to the Total Calls For Service due to multiple patients/incident types at a single incident.
