Mesquite dubbed second safest city in Nevada

In a release on May 3, backgroundchecks.org released their findings that rank Mesquite as the second safest city in Nevada, with Boulder City coming in first.

With a crime rate of 108.1, “residents of Mesquite have a 1.9 percent chance of being affected by property crime,” the report says. The report also states that their list was “compiled based on FBI violent crime stats and proprietary BackgroundChecks.org research data.”

The report is based on a population of 15,200.

Other safe cities for Nevada bring Henderson in third place, Sparks in fourth and Reno in fifth.
