LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District has expanded its family planning services with a new clinic at the 280 S. Decatur Blvd. public health center. Services at the new Decatur location include pregnancy testing, birth control, emergency contraception, health assessment, gynecological examination, reproductive health counseling, heath education, and referrals. The low-cost family planning clinic offers services Monday through Friday by appointment only (appointment not required for emergency contraception). “Family planning and the availability of contraception are considered among the last century’s greatest public health accomplishments,” said Dr. Joe Iser, Chief Health Officer for the Southern Nevada Health District. “The ability to plan a family and space pregnancies is a key aspect of women’s health care.”

The Health District’s East Las Vegas Public Health Center continues to offer the same services at 570 N. Nellis, Monday through Friday by appointment (appointment not required for emergency contraception).

Fees for family planning services are on a sliding scale basis based on a client’s income. The Health District family planning clinics also accept the following insurance:
