Blotter Report April 4-10, 2016
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 131 total incidents in the blotter:

April 4:
Hit & Run: Hit and run on a vehicle occurred in a Mesa Blvd. casino parking lot. Investigation is still pending.
Threatening: Mesquite Police Officer responded to a local school reference a juvenile problem.
Parking Problem: Officers responded to a parking problem on Riverside Rd. and Second South St. where delivery trucks were crossing private property.
Suicidal Person:  Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. apartment complex for a report of a suicidal adult male. The male subject was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle parked on Partridge Ln.
Citizen Assist:  Officer responded to a harassment call at a Pioneer Blvd. business.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Joshua  Dr. address on a report of graffiti on the mailbox.  Officer took photographs and notified the Postal Service.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An officer responded to a report of an unsecured building on E. First North and Willow St.
Lost Property:   Officer responded to a Wild Fang Way residence on a report of lost property.  Officer spoke with the owner who completed a written statement listing items in the wallet.
Traffic Stop:  A vehicle stop was conducted on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was taken into custody for driving on a suspended driver’s license. The driver has a history of not appearing in court for the same offense.

April 5:

Intoxicated Person:  Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing problems. Upon arrival officers witnessed the intoxicated male stumble across Pioneer Boulevard outside of the crosswalk. Male was taken into custody for intoxicated pedestrian in a roadway.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officer responded to an El Dorado Rd. casino on a report of damage to property.  Officer spoke with the victim and obtained a written statement and took photos of the damage.  No suspect information at this time.
Found Property:  Officer spoke with a local resident regarding a lost property report from the previous day.  Officer contacted the caller and was informed that the missing item had been located.
Lost Property: Officers responded to the police station on a report of a lost passport.
Disturbance of School:  Mesquite Officer responded to a local school reference a juvenile problem.
Theft:  An Officer took a report of a stolen porch light bulb.
Found Property:  Officer responded to a Leavitt Ln. residence on a report of found property.  Upon arrival officer took possession of a wallet that was found in the backyard.  The wallet was placed in the police evidence vault for safe keeping.
Domestic Violence IP W/ Gun: Officers responded to a Concord Dr. residence reference a domestic disturbance call. After conducting an investigation one adult male was arrested for Domestic Battery.

April 6:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer was contacted by a law enforcement officer from Utah reference threats made to an employee of the Mesquite Police Department. Subject is known to officers and has a history of mental illness.
Disorderly Conduct:  Officers responded for an intoxicated disorderly male at convenience store on Sandhill Blvd. The male was arrested for breach of peace.
Juvenile Problem:  Officer responded to the school for a juvenile problem. A fifth grader had been acting out and needed some law enforcement intervention.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded for a report of domestic battery on Megan Circle. Officers conducted an investigation and arrested the primary physical aggressor.
Identification Check:  Officer responded to a request for an identification check on a possible minor gambling at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. Juvenile minor was cited for minor gambling.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: An officer responded to the hospital reference a cyclist versus vehicle traffic accident on W. Mesquite Blvd. and Palm Dr. from the day before.  A report was filed.

April 7:

Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator.  After attempting to speak with the male, he resisted officers and was placed under arrest.
Domestic Trouble:  Officer responded to a report of possible domestic battery on Mesa Blvd. After investigation one male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery.
Dead Body:  Officers responded to an unattended death on W. Mesquite Blvd. An investigation was conducted and the Clark County Coroner was contacted.
Theft:  Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. department store for a report of petit larceny. After investigation, one male subject was issued a citation for petit larceny and released with a court date.
Weapon Offense IP:  Citizens came into the police lobby to file a report. A report was taken.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  An officer responded to a report of a golf ball causing damage to a vehicle on Links Dr.  A report was taken.
Domestic Trouble:  Officers responded to a Megan Circle residence regarding a possible domestic battery in progress.  After an investigation, it was deemed no battery occurred.
Suspicious/Person: Officers were dispatched to a N. Sandhill Blvd. fast food restaurant in reference to a suspicious person who was banging on the windows and doors.  This adult male subject was arrested for breach of peace and possession of marijuana.

April 8:

Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on S. Grapevine Rd. & W. Hafen Ln. One driver was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Driving Under the Influence:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Hafen Ln. on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult female driver had been drinking alcohol and failed field sobriety test. She was arrested for DUI-second offense, possession of marijuana, and several traffic violations.
Theft:  An officer was dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. grocery store, in reference to a theft. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

April 9:

Agency Assistance:  An officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident, without injuries. A report was completed.
Civil Dispute:  Officers were dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd. parking lot in reference to a verbal dispute between family members.
Agency Assistance:  An Officer took a report for a citizen.
Disorderly Conduct:  An officer was dispatched to a Riverside R. apartment complex, in reference to a harassment call.  An adult male subject was later cited and released for breach of peace.
Driving Under the Influence: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The adult male driver failed field sobriety and was arrested for DUI-Alcohol.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. casino’s parking lot, in reference to a domestic battery in progress.  An adult male subject was arrested for domestic battery (1st offense).
