The Mesquite Local News is hosting a candidate forum on May 9 at the Eureka Town Square with the public invited.
Candidates for Assembly District 19 and Mesquite City Council will be part of a panelist forum. Candidates will be available for a meet-and-greet from 5-6 p.m. following by a question and answer session from 6-8 p.m.
Two mayoral candidates, Allan Litman and Arthur Pereida, will each give a short presentation. They will not participate in the Q & A session since they will not be on the ballot until the general election in November.
Jeff Powell will serve as moderator with panelists MLN Editor Barbara Ellestad, Ken Cook and Karen Beardsley asking about local issues.
